So, a familiar refrain: Saints waited until late in the window, but thought they had a deal for X. However, events surely outside their control scuppered the deal at the last moment, and it's too late to do anything else. Nevertheless, the club is confident that the squad is good enough, etc.

Just need Reed to come out and say "relaxed and calm about the situation". That is his go to phrase whenever something is about to **** up.

I really don't understand football fans. Because we aren't doing well, blame Les and Ralph because our best players have left? blame the manager because the players sit back in the second half (yeah I'm sure that's what he tells them at half time) and get ready to boo and protest if we go a goal down to Brighton. Pretty sure that will help!

Well Les likes to blab to the media when we're doing well and says he's in control of all football matters so surely he gets some blame when he ****s up, no?

On a positive note, it seems that a deal has been agreed in principle for the summer. Now if we stay up then that will be a brilliant start to the window.

However, we really needed him now Les. As you can see, our predicament is pretty ****.

Where’s Plan B!?

This board are obviously not over concerned with the prospect of relegation.

Something just does not add up .

It may be that MP2 can turn things around , and I hope he does , but the whole situation seems strange to me , it's almost like they simply don't think relegation is even a possibility ?

If we have agreed to sign him in the summer then surely we should be working on a 6 month loan for a winger to see us through this season? Unless they are putting their faith in Sims

In truth, the fans may be desperate but I don't think the club are and I'm pretty impressed with the way they have gone about their business. Looks to me like we've got a deal and it's just when not if. If we get relegated, Promes won't want to come here and we won't want to pay the wages anyway. If we stay up we are front of the queue. One player isn't going to be the difference between staying up and getting relegated We need to build on recent form and get a few wins under our belt. If we are good enough (and I think we are) we'll stay up. If we get relegated, it will be because we are not good enough and deserve it. You can't enjoy the good times without a few set backs in life.
That's exactly the kind of level-headed and sensible approach that has absolutely no place on a fans forum. How dare you.

I agree it is level headed, but it is not completely batshit mental to see that something needs to change otherwise we are in serious danger of relegation. A big signing could've been that change. But to change virtually nothing and think we are good enough/it will change eventually is an incredibly arrogant and ridiculous decision for the board to take.

What like when the Everton interest in Ron they deemed it so unlikely they didn't even discuss it?
