Yeah, I like the solution. Also 10m is *nothing* these days for a player with that kind of talent.
Absolutely. And lack of quality in those attacking midfield positions has been the biggest contributor in our periods of malaise two years running, IMO; we have had Tadic and Mane, but nothing beyond when they had knocks or went through down periods.
And it gives us an obvious alternative look: mating Puel's pressing to the 4-3-3, with a lightning-quick three-or-four man attacking group that can turn changes of possession into early chances.
