Gardos was sold to us for £6m from Steaua; nearly as much the Romanian selling record of Chiricles (sp?). We must have deal with Becali before. Surely they will really be looking for substantially more than these mooted fees, for the 'most promising Romanian for a generation' ?

There's also the possibility of getting a goal from open play. That wouldnt hurt our potential either!

Yeah, between he and Boufal they really cover a lot of our bases with the whole 'no end product' thing. Boufal can be pretty wasteful, but he creates chaos in and around the box, which is very useful in breaking down set defenses. Stanciu can run at the defense from midfield, thread passes through tight areas, and he has a shot on him. Add Tadic's composure and crossing and you have a lot of ways to generate goalscoring opportunities.

 

I really, REALLY want us to sign this guy - along with Boufal - think he could be a bargain at anything £15m or less.

Young, talented, loads of room to improve and in a position we've been crying out for for a while. Sounds like a signing right up our street!

 

I just hope it's not a case of 'if we don't get Boufel, we've got a plan B......'

Boufal was 4 11" when he was 19 years old. He's thanked the doctors at Lille for helping him grow. Maybe Puel knows the secret, JWP and Harry Reed could be a bit taller come the end of the season?

 

I used to be 5'10" but am now 5' 7" so I have shrunk as I have got older.

He has got a few moves on him to say the least. 2 out of the three we've been linked with would be sweet with me.

 

I wonder how good some of our players would look if you slowed them down/speeded them up to music....might have to photoshop a few goals though.

 

Although it is a good, and so far, successful business model, it is a little sad that we get excited about signing a player because of the profit we will make when we sell him rather than what he can help us achieve.
