I have only made one of these player threads before, and we actually signed him. Unfortunately, it was Osvaldo....

So this is another Argentine, and as always with these windows, we get to see some great foreign articles which can be badly translated.

Reports of an increased bid of 17million Euros.

After seeing rejected an initial proposal in the amount of 12 million euro, the British press to try to convince the SAD to release defender
Marcos Rojo remains a matter of greed in major European leagues, and SAD Sporting yesterday received an offer of € 17 million to release the Argentina defender. The offer originates from the Southampton club desperately trying to ensure tender man who persuaded the reluctant Argentine supporters of its quality during the World Cup in Brazil. GAME what was found, the British emblem was not intimidated by the rejection of his first approach - the greens and whites declined to EUR 12 million offered on Tuesday - and returned to the charge up the parade in an attempt to overcome the reluctance . Lions respond today.

Oh balls, beaten to it by the tightest of margins. Hopefully the same won't be said of this transfer. Hey, at least Al got the thread title correct too.

If that's the figure then, despite their difficulties, he's worth more to them as a player than a saleable asset. Or don't they get a say in the sale?

Poor old Sporting. So many good players come through there, and on to the biggest leagues, and they make far less money than they deserve. Interestingly, our CB partnership could both be ex-Sporting.

Don't tell the mirror, they are already drafting the article on how Fonte and Rojo don't like each other because of the Benfica/Sporting rivalry

maybe we could make this thread about another marcos, like Marcos Alonso or Marcos Painter

Just been speaking to a Sporting fan. He says if SCP can get €4m-€5m for their 25% of Rojo, then he'll be a Saints player.

He thinks Rojo would come to Southampton, and has also said that they've signed a few new CBs already...

They not rate him that much? Or just see it as the most they can get for their 25%?
