True. He'll certainly have to win a few more now. Of course, there's always Gardos when height is needed [Stoke and others]. He'll get a few more games next season.
OK, I'll run with that.And Toby [HASHTAG]#positivekruegerspin[/HASHTAG]
I understand metric measurements in theory, but they have no real meaning to me. No one appears tall in metric, because tall starts with a 6 in front of it, not a 1.I mean Imperial. Feet and inches. Stones and pounds.
I use metric measurement every day in my work, yet I still innately prefer the older measurements.

It just sounds more impressive than 180cm. When i talk about my weight its the opposite and i mention how i'm merely a decimal of a metric tonne

Imperial are based on body parts, so have more real meaning than metric. I can remember in my childhood watching fascinated as haberdashers measured yards of cloth from their fingers to the centre of their body.

Everyone is smaller than Pelle. The bloke is a man mountain.Even in imperial, he's lighter and shorter than Pelle![]()
I used metric all my life but when talking about my height i always say 6 foot.It just sounds more impressive than 180cm. When i talk about my weight its the opposite and i mention how i'm merely a decimal of a metric tonne

That's very good. I'm going to remember that one.Metric is for calculating, Imperial is for living. Anyone fancy a pint?
Of course, Godders can remember when builders used to use cubits.
Slightly before my time.
Do they still say furlongs in horse racing..?
Indeed. I was schooled in Metric more than Imperial, yet I still think of Imperial first. Anyone can sense the rough length of one foot. They have a visual reminder a few feet away from their eyes.![]()
When you talk about something a few feet away from their eyes being a foot long, what exactly are you refering too?
I'm suddenly feeling very inadequate.
One "considers" a £7m bid for Clasie in the same way I have considered a $50 Canadian bid for the city of London.
Small bit at the end of this article about Villa considering a £7m bid for Clasie: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...f-joining-Manchester-City...-for-just-8m.html
