Not being funny, I don't know him, but is it genuinely his wife, or just an inside joke? I'm not being vicious, just genuinely curious!
Yeah that's the funniest thing. He thinks because he's old, he's wiser than everybody else, but over the last few months everyone's stopped buying the "wise old man" act and he doesn't like it
I'm sure he has a wife...he talks so consistently about her. Undoubtedly the best thing in his life.
I really hope he doesn't let the goings on of an internet forum affect his mood. That would be rather sad.
Godders came in implying he wanted us all to die when someone made a joke about the Mexico trip. Le Tissier's Laces said "I thought you were meant to be one of the mature ones?" while the rest of us reacted in an "oh good, Godders is here" way. He took it personally because he thinks we should all automatically respect him... that's pretty much it.
And people wonder why we're hostile back to him? He picks holes in our views, is hypocritical (don't like nicknames but calls himself Godders?) and thinks all should respect him. I ain't no "saint" on here, but at least I can admit when I'm wrong, or being stupid.
Anyway lads, with this dying down a bit, I'll provide an update for those looking for Gaston Ramirez news:
There is no new news. We are where we were a couple of days ago: The deal basically completed but not *actually* confirmed yet. It's only a matter of time. This thread is off topic not, strangely, because of "them pesky meddling kids", but instead of reaction to St Godders choosing to broadcast his true personality to the forum. As such, direct all disappointment, ire and wrath towards him. Sit back, if there's news on Gaston Ramirez you'll be sure to hear of it, probably because the only place for the news to go from here is to the deal being completed.

Probably not, but it comes from Godders' style of pandering to the "Mrs Godders and I" persona and being like a little innocent old man.
When people gave him a bit of stick back when he made jibes at younger people he just couldn't handle it.
Overblown if anything.
Racist like someone's granny: Somebody reacted to a recent tirade of his with "You have to ignore him like you ignore granny's casual racism after too many brandies", so nobody called him a racist granny.
Old cripple: Not seen this, but people have made age jokes before (as they have about every member on this site, young or old)
Forgotten how to have fun: Not seen this, but it seems he has
Fictitious wife: Seen this a couple of times, hardly that offensive
Moderators tolerate his posts: People say Godders can do what he want and wouldn't get punished but if any other member did it they'd get warned. Not exactly an insult.
Posts are crap: Well, they are, but that's not exactly something that's only been said of him.
Far from valid excuses.
