This is whole thing. If he has any incline his position is under threat he is out the door and that does not solve the keeper issue
Boruc would be fine. He'd stay a year I'm sure, collecting some good money, then go back and finish his career at home. It would make sense for him to finish up his deal with the pay he'll be getting from us, great earner for his family.
It's an improvement and a longer term answer, but it doesn't solve the main issue - that being the Gazzaniga issue.
Which is fine. And god forbid Forster gets injured, what happens then? Davis or Gazza who one is past it and one isnt up for job replaces him and behind a possibly unsteady defence down the table saints tumble
If you seriously think at 34 and fighting again to be Polands number one he is going to hang around because he is paid well then go back to Legia your mistaken. This is the guy who turned down a contract extension with Viola and held out for an EPL club to get him he was that desperate to play in the EPL. Was a gamble as his stock was low at that point and he could have gone unpaid a lot longer than two plus months he did. Is Forster the better keeper, well time will tell but if Boruc goes in wake of Forster being bought its still back to square one on keeper front
With (realistically) one year at most to have that spot, with no tournament to play in? He'll be here when the window closes.
Well he could hang around as come January someone can sign him for nothing or he could decide he wants off a sinking ship. Depends how he views situation
Feel sorry for Boruc if he gets replaced as he's a really good keeper. Wouldn't have minded an OK goalie coming in for backup, but Forster is younger and better than Boruc who's getting quite old (in football terms!). Also, on the Gazza situation: I'd rather have Davis on the bench than Gazza.
34 for a goalie is not old even in footbll terms but he did have a niggling back problem after hand break. Who knows but if he goes due to forster it doesnt solve the goalie issue
She has a shrine for him in her walk in wardrobe. The walls are completly covered in Boruc pics stuck up with toothpaste. The room is lit with candles.
