Yeah agreed. Almost feels like there could be some sort of national pride involved here. I assume Russian clubs have less money and have found it harder to sign players since they've been excluded from the Champions League etc so there might even be political pressure behind the scenes. Can't have "glorious Russian club" selling to a second tier English side after all...
Would be very weird. Most likely thing is that the owner is simply stalling as much as he can in the hope that a bigger offer comes in.
They’re in a very weird situation though, when patriotism is running high symbolism is important, while footballing wise - like England was cut off after Hysel - a mythos regards how good their league, club teams and players are maybe developing.
