A modern sign of Osvaldo's stature is the amount of compilations there are available!
 
So not knowing anything much about him myself, and having had a little read around other forums, is Osvaldo as good as everyone on here thinks? Have we overpaid for him?

A lot of comments on other forums saying we've overpaid, he's not that good etc. Just wondering if we have rose tinted glasses on over here because he's signed for us, or whether other clubs fans are just jealous?

An interview with him recently that's quite quirky, he's a pink floyd fan. Does appear that he can't speak any English though.

Don't know much myself, but judging by statistics, highlights, we bought him from Roma and the fact he's an Italy international, he's proven that he's a top player. Ramirez was 12m with potential to become great, Pablo is 15m with proven ability so I think it's a sensible amount; just hope he jels quickly. To be honest, I'd be happy with any striker who's competent at this level, we just need another goal scorer!

Do you know what? I haven't a clue or a crystal ball, time will tell.

I've not actually seen anyone suggesting we're overpaying for him? Based on his last three or four seasons, he's definitely worth £15m. Obviously, there's no guarantee he'll settle and be just as prolific here, but there's no guarantee with anyone.

Just unpacked the car, made sure it was safe with the wife to turn Sky Sports news on and wham ... Breaking news on bottom is first thing I read; Southampton sign Osvaldo from Roma!! Who is this Southampton signing players from Italian Giants like Roma?
