All those who want to stand, go ahead and stand , I'm sitting so a bunch of toss pots aren't yelling and shoving me all over the shop.

That's the whole ****ing point though <doh>

Some clearly want to stand (like myself), and others understandably don't want to. Why not give people the choice?

Plain daft to not bring it in imo, there's no decent argument against it.

Actually there is, it won’t make for a better atmosphere, it won’t increase attendance because if you take an area of say 1000 seats only 1000 will still be allocated in that space. The cost to the club to convert seating to standing and possibly more stewards. It’s not going to happen however the minority cry.

Wrong, safe standing can actually fit more people in by a ratio of between 1.2:1 and 1.8:1 I believe, a lot depends on the size of exits/concourses and stuff in existing grounds and the angle of the incline in the seating area.

I personally think it will improve atmosphere too, always a better atmosphere stood up than sat down.

At Celtic they’ve done it 1:1 but it’s 1.5:1 in Germany. Ginge’s arguments are predictably stupid- “it won’t improve atmosphere” FFS.

Some in Germany have higher than that, Hanover (I believe) have nearly double. Like I say though the biggest issue with converting grounds here are the sizes of the concourses and exits etc.

West Brom were going to trial it at 1:1 though I believe and I expect the old grounds would struggle get to get too much more.

Saying it won't improve atmosphere is clueless. It's also undoubtedly safer than what happens now as tens of thousands are standing every week in seated areas.

So you need to stand to shout and cheer?

You’re the only one crying about it, basically I don’t give a ****. You need to get over yourself.

I’ve offered constructive arguments for why it should happen. You’ve offered **** all as to why it shouldn’t and now resorted to insisting it won’t ever happen. Maybe you should get over yourself.

I’ve offered plenty but you only hear yourself.

No, you haven’t. You’ve said the atmosphere is no different which isn’t true unless you are deaf. Are you deaf?

You’ve said the crowd won’t be any larger when it has been proven abroad it can be.

You’ve said it will somehow take us back to 80s hooliganism which is again illogical and goes against the evidence of where it’s in place safely.

Literally the only thing you’ve said which makes any sense is that clubs will have to pay for its implementation. No one will force them to do it. It’s about having a choice rather than standing unsafely behind a stupid plastic seat.

But it’s not your choice because clubs won’t stump up for the alterations on a 1:1 basis which is the best you might get. There’s also no real evidence the atmosphere would be any better. But it won’t happen as the FA will never sanction it.
