You’re still equating having safe terracing with a rise in hooliganism which still makes no logical sense at all.

Thailand essentially is a poor country where only the ruling elite and army have the real money. They wouldn’t waste money on such a project, life is cheap here.

Again, no one is proposing taking away all or even most seats. If you want to sit down there would still be lots of seats. I don’t know how much clearer this can be.

 

It's the same talk that's used with 'Remoaners' (Brexit) You have to concede to their flawed logic otherwise the vitriol starts. Just seems that the minority what the majority say, isn't that sad?

That's interesting as my own experience at Stamford Bridge is often the opposite. The Stewards often don't want to get involved with trying to keep the rowdy away fans in check and I've often been told to sit down by a steward when the whole away end is still standing and stewards are doing nothing.

I like the idea of safe standing areas if done safely and properly. I suspect Hillsborough is still too fresh though for any government to want to go near it.

A lot of the problems with the terraces have stemmed from more people being in these areas than was safe (people jumping fences, sneaking in etc). In modern stadia and with proper turnstiles and a proper standing place, I don't see the issue.

 

Agreed. Stewards at your place have been very happy to allow standing in both tiers when I’ve been even in the front row.
