.......I’ll just have to lighten up. Do you think the Swansea poster got the image from a terrorist website or is it an image from a protest against their owners?
God knows.
Though why a terrorist would be in a football forum promoting "safe standing" is beyond me <laugh>

Not sure why he is taking out his anger at these hedge fund guys on America though, they are American, but its not like all Americans are hedge funding parasites.
A lot of them probably couldn't even spell hedge fund, let alone own one.

.....indeed, those hedge fund geezers are getting America a bad reputation but that’s the downside to global Capitalism. Where would Swansea be without the investment? Back in the third tier of English football?

.......what we really, really, need is StanDMan’s opinion on this topic. :1980_boogie_down:

He'd say the US military is trying to lose in the middle east on purpose, so that Trump can get purposely impeached and get a job working for a saudi Sheikh, at a much higher salary.

.......brilliant. Perhaps Swansea will get taken over by a Russian - as we were. Then, when relegation beckons for them once more, they take to burning the Russian flag. A few weeks later - ahem - the flag burners are in hospital with radiation poisoning. <laugh>

On a side note, I haven’t heard my Millwall work colleague ever moaning about their American owner. However, he was furious with a ‘Yorkshire Northern Barsteward’ Lewisham councillor - Steve Bullock? - who was trying to buy land near the Millwall ground. I’ll have to ask him if he’ll be doing a ‘Swansea’ and be buying a Yorkshire County flag to burn. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Is that really important to you? As it happens I wasn't aware there was a specific Premiership page, but that is irrelevant. The issue applies to Championship Clubs as well.
It’s not irrelevant at all! It’s called etiquette son, a quick glance would have told you that and it would have saved you time cutting & pasting. I strongly advise that you put it up on the GC (general chat) board where it would get a proper airing.

Can we re-build the shed aswell?... The good old days sigh.............<laugh>

......where everyone stood and you only got a distant view of the pitch at the back of the Shed terrace. In the New Shed - lower section - everyone seems to be standing, so why the need for ‘safe standing’?

This debate could go on for years<laugh>....IMO those that want standing areas simply yearn for the good old days(don't we all)
in reality its probably a step backwards for PL and Championship clubs.

Its great to see that you have such a high opinion of your fellow football fans.

You may want to educate yourself further - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43915570
Thanks Professor, my education is now complete thanks to the BBC web site. Must put my fellow students onto this, better than University.
It's great to see you have such a high opinion of yourself. As for my fellow football fans, would that include those from Roma currently awaiting trial for attempted murder? Or the Liverpool ones who attacked the bus 2 weeks ago?, Maybe the Chelsea ones in Spain? How about the Russians or the Inter Ultras? I don't have a very high opinion of them, do you?? If so, good luck and happy "safe standing" beside them wherever it might be.

To be fair CP none of your references happened inside the stadium. I think that standing areas should be allowed but in smaller doses and as not to allow large masses gathering.

The majority of those incidents happened OUTSIDE football stadiums <laugh>

Sure did, but done by the same football fans who were also inside the stadiums where the seating meant they couldn't behave the same way. They would again have free reign in standing areas where supervision is far more difficult. I stood many many times in the dark ages with all sorts going on undetected, from blokes pissing, wallets being nicked, to darts being hurled around. It's all yours mate. Why don't you just stand up in front of your TV if you're so keen on standing?
