When they say leave does that include being poached or just sacked.
If NP has us in the top 3 or 4 come christmas some prem teams who are struggling might come in and try and buy him out of his contract after they sack there managers.

I'll say this: Nigel has no more excuses, he got far too many last year anyway, and if we don't get in the play-offs he has to go.

There were no excuses last season. There plenty of mitigating circumstances though. The situation from May to November was impossible. NP was just trying to keep out heads above water while RB and AP literally scrambled to keep us alive.
His record from November, when he was able to mould a team was superb.
He shouldn't go if we fail to make the play-off's this season. Football isn't that simple. NP will probably get the sack if we're heading for League One. Otherwise it's impossible to predict. If we have a season like the last one and finish in the top half, there's no need for sacking anyone.

I wouldn't touch that bet myself and barring relegation I would expect to see NP offered a contract extension at the end of the season.
I agree with you in that this is a season were we can make more of a judgement on NP, but i don't think he should go unless we have a very poor season. Say, for example, we finished between 7th and 10th, we have made progress on last season in terms of were we have finished and have given ourselves a chance of taking that step further the following season. In these circumstances it seems daft and counterproductive to sack someone who has helped progress the team and has every chance of taking the team further the following season. Even if we finish around were we did this season, i'd still say stick with him as the club needs some stabability at the present time, and although a mid table finish could be disappointing we have to look at the bigger picture and see it as a step on the ladder. The details of our financial position shows what we can realistically expect this season, and although we could well finish in the play offs such is the nature of this league, i'd say it's unreasonable to give NP the ultimatum of play offs or the sack. Until the club is in a position to spend the sort of money we've seen Leicester throw about this week then we can't say we're nailed on certainties for promotion/play offs, if it means a steady mid table or just outside the play offs finish until we can stand on our own 2 feet financially then so be it. I personally feel NP is the right man for us and if given a chance in time he can take us back to the PL, be that next season or 3 seasons time. If we go backwards amd have a poor season, say 18th or below then i'd say NP's position becomes less secure and there's a good chance he'll be shown the door, but otherwise we stick by the bloke and hopefully see the benefits (part of me wants us to get the play offs this season so you can have a big slice of humble pie!

Like many, I questioned some decisions, but I still maintain if he'd have stayed we'd still be a Premier League club.
I'm pretty sure that we would have been relagated whoever we would have brought in. (And yes, if PB would have stayed as well)
I reckon we'd have got wins against Burnley and Sunderland at home. In the unlikely event that we did get relegated under Brown, we'd be a Premier League club again now anyway. Obviously not everyone agrees.
One thing is for sure, then man deserves far more respect from City fans than what he gets. He's arguably our greatest ever manager, yet people insist on slagging him off.

For a start, you're clearly ignoring the fact that we'd still be in the **** financially, and we'd probably be signing no different a calibre of player.
I agree (kind of) about the respect thing. I certainly respect him. I think he's a bit of a numpty with some of the things he's said and done, but he did the club a great service in his time here, certainly between December 2006 and May 2009. There are a few fans who claim to have insider knowledge about how he and Duffen acted both on and off-the-job, but do they? Maybe. Will you or I ever know for certain? No. Will you or I ever slag Brown off, as a person? I won't.
I would make some sort of comment about how perky is a noob but, I can't really be bothered. I think it goes without saying.
I would say Sven is going to be under enormous pressure at Leicester with the amount they are spending. If he fails to get the team to gel, which is a distinct possibility with all the changes they seem to be making, he could be the number one contender.
