Firstly, AVB in my opinion is the wrong manager for us...but that is just an opinion not a fact.
Secondly, I think that Modric was always going to leave and VdV left for personal reasons so criticism of AVB on this score is weak and wide of the mark.
Thirdly, Bassong and co. needed to leave as they weren't going to get first team football and gave us additional funds.
Fourthly, Vertongen Adebayor, siggy, Demba, Lloris and Dempsey are good signings (although dempsey's comes across a little as desperate last minute thing) so he has done well on that level.
Fifthly, booing at matches is pointless and after just 2 or 3 matches is senseless.
Sixthly, the idea that Harry was a great man manager is kind of undermined by his treatment of: Corluka, Kranjar, Bent, Bentley, Gomes etc. He didn't get the best out of them, has isolated them, publically bad mouthed some of them etc. - I liked Harry but he made lots of tactical mistakes to go along with his man management mistakes.
I personally have been against AVB being our manager from when it was first rumoured and I think it is normal and understandable that people feel the need to air their frustrations.
We have played badly today ... especially in the first half. We were poor in the second half v WBA and it is the performances that have been disappointing.
AVB is in an impossible position as the media want him to fail as it'll make a good story for the gossip pages and in my opinion I think that we are in for a bad season...similar to the one under Ramos (only without a trophy).
However sacking him is not an option. We can not go back to the dark days of Francis, Gross, Bloke in a coat, Hoddle, Pleat, Santini, Jol, Ramos and redknapp between August 97 and Oct 2009 ... 9 managers in 12 years.
I hope he is given time and proves to be a success but I think the pressure from the media, Levy and the fans will prove to be his down fall as it was at Chelsea.
