Due to having to work I was only following on been text so been watching the highlights, have to say that afternoon performance was awesome with all the picks by Bjorn fully justifying their selection and the Moliwood pairing was inspired.
Nicely set up for tomorrow.....
Go Europe....

Just heard a US commentator on the wireless, really ripping into the US foursomes, especially Mickleson and the other bloke. He reckoned that Speith/Reed is their strongest pairing but that Speith won’t play with Reed for some reason.

Excellent.

When it comes to their private lives, Spieth & Reed are two opposites in every way.

Mickleson has really changed in so many ways over the past couple of years.
Taylor-made paid off his 20 million gambling debt in return for lifetime sponsorship of their products.
H\While he's packing the beef, he also seems to be dyeing his hair.
As a supposed devout christian and family, he was busted with an Afro-American street walker a year or two back.
He's basically been caught out cheating on tv twice now.
A very bad look, even though as he says, he was working within the laws of golf.

As a leftie myself, l use to really admire Phil but he's seems to be purely out for himself.

He spoke the other day about playing Tiger next month for 8-10 million in a shootout.
Crazy ................ from a guy with big gambling issues over the years, does he ever learn?

Caught the hightlights from the tail end of the morning session - wonderful stuff thereafter. I do enjoy getting caught up in the more passionate and less solitary spectacle of the Ryder Cup.

I expected a bit more from a star-studded IS team but was delighted to see the cameraderie grow amongst the Europeans as things started going out way.

USA really struggling this morning :1980_boogie_down: quite a bit behind in 3 of the matches, Europe could be heading into the afternoon with a healthy lead. McIlroy, Fleetwood and Casey playing some great golf, along with their partners - yanks finding it difficult to even find the fairways!!

Too easy isn't it?

The brilliant thing about this format is even if we go into the singles with a four point lead, which is looking distinctly possible, it will still be a tense day.

What I don’t get is why this brilliant competition, which as far as I understand it has no prize or appearance money and has massive crowds generating lots of cash and lots of other sponsorship, is not available on free TV.

I know mate. I was being mischievous.

Completely agree about free TV. It's a scandal the way things are now. Champions league is another example.
Perhaps it's just the way things are going to be and we'll all have to pay subs for the stuff we want to watch?

Yeah. I pay for Netflix (which I never use but everyone in the family does) and Spotify (which is a brilliant service any music you want for three of us for a tenner a month) but have drawn the line at Sky and BT, because I know myself too well - I will either become a complete couch potato and watch sport endlessly, or (more likely) not watch enough to make it good value. It’s not so much the football, but more events like this and the other majors and the Test cricket that I pine for.

The cricket and the golf are the reasons I pay for Sky. I wouldn't bother just for football.

Spotify is excellent.

Maybe if you're pining that much you should bite the bullet?
I have Sky and BT Sport. I look on them as my little treat to myself. I pay quite a bit per month but then we do have a multi-room deal (3 sky boxes).
I got BT to watch the Champions League and I'm glad I did as they now show a lot of the Premier League games too.
We don't have Sky Movies as we don't mind waiting for films to be available on the Sky Store. Recently released films can be rented too.
I also enjoy the cricket channel.
I've always found Sky's customer service to be very good too and I like the menu layout etc on screen.
Having said all that, I don't find myself watching every game of football that is shown, in fact far from it.
Plus, having multi-room means I can withdraw to another room if others want to watch something else.

Given that it’s only me and the wife (and dog) at home now disappearing for a few days to watch a game of cricket or golf tournament might be commented on. But I’m sure I’ll bite the bullet at some stage, especially now Sky is no longer a Murdoch thing.

First point in the bag and looking good for at least another 2 this morning. Outstanding. This Fleetwood-Molinari pairing is golden.

Looking like a great morning for Europe, 2 matches won (even though Garcia and McIlroy had a big wobble on the last few holes), 3 up in another and only 1 down in the last - a share of the points in the afternoon session and Europe will.be looking good for the singles tomorrow.

The Moli-Wood pairing back out this afternoon, vs Woods and deChambeau - the way they are playing it's difficult to see USA getting much out of that match.

Rose/Stenson v Johnson/Koepka could be close

With the form that Garcia is in, with Noren as partner could prove too much for Watson/Simpson

Last out will be Poulter & McIlroy v Spieth & Thomas, who appear to be one of the only teams the yanks have to actually turn up today

Mickleson so bad yesterday he doesn’t get to play at all today. I fancy at least 2 points for Europe from this afternoon.

'Captain America' Patrick Reed left out as well. He must have been about 12 over par this morning.
