just think it's a rather remarkable story that bristol citys manger's dad had heart surgery performed by one of his own players dad
I'm trying to work out the context though, If he knew one of his players dads was a top heart surgeon, he'd met him, trusted him so chose to have the op with him, not really a story is it?
If it was purely coincidence, he was rushed into an A and E and player's dad happened to be on duty, that's an incredible story. Thank **** it wasn't a Bristol Rovers' player's dad

of course it is
i find it a nice story

Last we heard he was expected to make a full recovery and be back for next season, so I'm going with that.

The stuff about being able to recover the fee is obviously bollocks, so I'm assuming the rest is to.

Just looking at that Fabio concussion! Jumps for the ball and land with a clatter! It's a big risk for mason I think?

I guess it depends on what the doctors recommend. Though I agree, not sure I would have the confidence.

One of the reasons I was always crap at football (apart from being naturally untalented) is that my Dad broke his leg playing during a simple kick around in the park type session. Therefore when I tried playing I never had the guts or confidence to go in for any tackles as the thought of breaking my leg was always on my mind. And that was based on something that didn't happen to me and never knew about until I was older. Now imagine trying to play after suffering the injury Mason has.

Then again Petr Cech seems to have done OK since his similar injury - dunno if being a goalkeeper makes a difference though.

These are different breeds. I was well into extreme sports right through my teens. You'd nail yourself, if you could get up and try again you would, if not you'd try again as soon as you could.

I'm sure, so long as there's no physical reason for him not to play, he will be back on the field and as good as he ever has been.
