Lazy in body, lazy in mind..... Do some exercise, you've put that much weight on, you look fit to burst
Say he gets 5 goals and 5 assists this season, which wouldn't be too outlandish to think. Say Almiron does the same and Maximum does a bit better and you get 20 goals and 20 assists between those three. Wilson gets you 15 goals and then Joelinton, midfielder and defenders get you another 15, you're scoring 50 goals. That's 12 more than last season, and more than 10 of the bottom 11 teams last season. I don't think thats unrealistic but the team above surely has more than 38 goals in them? Even just add Wilson's 8 goals and you're scoring more than 7 of the bottom 11 teams.
That's not really how it's going to work though.. If it was that simple it would be brilliant though. All I'm saying is that the team can't play... They'leaking goals, can't keep the ball and are so slow in cm you can just run straight through them, so adding a few average players won't address the situation at all. Just my opinion but I firmly believe I'll be proved right. His stats really are poor for 4 out of 5 seasons, so what's the probability of him doing well in our **** side? I've been saying since cabaye left we need two proper players in cm.. Until we get at least one everything else is a complete waste of time...
Perhaps not but we'll probably end up somewhere between the two. Newcastle with Wilson and Fraser are more of an attacking threat than what we had last year and as such, I'd expect us to score a few more. I get the pessimism and I'm no fan of Bruce. However, Wilson with ASM, Almiron and Fraser behind does have some quality to it. I'd love a Cabaye figure but so would everyone. Unless we find another gem in the rough im not sure what you could get for less than £25 million. Joelinton, Gayle and S.Longstaff become your backup attacking options which again, whilst not being ideal, aren't bad for a bottom half club.
I think it's better, but I think unless they address cm and the full backs and tbh a proper cb it'll be no better... I honestly thibk shelvey hayden Longstaffs and hendrick aren't good enough in cm in this league..... The other thing is the fact other clubs are going to be stronger... 500 million spent
500M spent yes, but City and United have spent the bulk of it. The only teams in the league I can see that have improved are Everton, City, United and Spurs. For example, Saints have only sold a player and brought in a bargain bucket replacement they were offered, Palace have signed no one, Brighton haven't, West Ham haven't. Leeds have splashed the cash a bit, but their signings aren't busting the bank - Newcastle spent more money last season. In fact, everyone around us have had less movement in the market that us who could potentially be signing Fraser and Wilson. We're doing ok tbh.
I even googled it, who the **** have they signed? It doesn't count if they're absolute ****ing dross mind.
Brighton have signed Lallana and Veltman (a very good cb) as well as a couple of others. Palace signed that Eze who we were after. Oh and Southampton also signed Salisu (sp)
Southampton are a good side.. They employed a manager that knows how to coach and play football.. It went backwards before they went fwds... The same happened at Liverpool actually..... Not saying they're going to win the league but they're playing good football
It does. But I still hold to my point. I don't look around and think "****, we're really falling behind here."
I agree! Personally I think we have imporved our first team and squad as a whole assuming we get Wilson and Fraser.
its a #smallclubmentality when you look at all the clubs around you and **** yourself cos they've signed a center back.
Palace Brighton West brom newcastle, Leeds, Fulham have to be considered the worst sides in the league though... Tbh I think leeds are a decent side.. They got a hard first game though it could kill their confidence early.
