****ing hell Argentina, I get you in a sweepstake and you do that <doh>

Well done Iceland though <applause>

VAR is going to drag the sport into some sort of advert fest. Its the only reason they have brought it in.
People making mistakes with a video aid, great.

"Nowwww VAR is going to be used in the third quarter here as Manchester Red Devils players appeal for a spot kick. Now here's Paddy ****ing Power with an advert while the decision is made!"

Just **** the **** off with this ****ing ****e and leave the game alone you useless bunch of ****ety ****ers.

Rant over...

Well until VAR gets used in about an hour <laugh>

My view always was that VAR would cause as many problems as it solved. Football is unsuitable as it is game with few natural stops...therefore VAR will stop-start the game. My perennial second point was that it would be introduced and in the end younger and younger people would be happy as they wouldn't know what they'd lost.

VAR will work. It's being used one World Cup too early but it will be a success IMO. And FIFA won't scrap it anyway so people need to get used to it.

Isn't that when they are allowed breaks for water?
No, that's a logical break in dangerously hot conditions. Time outs are where things get critical (aka exciting) and the manager calls for a team talk. Imagine us getting on top against United with a few minutes to go and Mourinho announcing he wants to talk to his players. Allowed in most American influenced sports.

Peruvian manager has definitely done a bunch of hallucinogens in the past, was in a rock band for sure, and has stories about “that time I met Hendrix”...
