Slade's early attempts to ingratiate himself with the fans by droning on about the fans and the history blah blah have ended. The mask has slipped. He's now concentrating on ingratiating himself with his employer by joining them in the bunker. <cry><cry><cry><cry>

Slade isn't the only one to drop the "history" pretence.

Meire said several times on Saturday that fans focused "too much on the past" <doh> (like our 7 consecutive seasons in the Premier League)
