Young isn't like that.Young doesn't play between the midfield and the attack,he does play wide, but more like John Barnes than Yossi. He would play in front of the forwards and would work in tandem with Suarez as one would go up front and the other would go wide.Plus Young is a decent crosser of a ball and that would compliment Andy Carroll.
Obviously he plays out wide, but atleast once a game does a Nzogbia and cuts inside as he gets greedy. Don't forget he's in a very lacking Aston Villa side with no class midfielders or strikers, leaving him and Downing as the main attacking men. He is used to being played as second striker too, anyway my argument was that having someone who does cut inside is not the worst thing that could happen. N'Zogbia is capable of playing out wide, which is all we need - as long as someone is capable of playing outwide and feeding crosses in then we have what we have been lacking, but if they have the extra talents such as N'Zogbia or Young and able to cut inside, then that's a bonus - not a reason to not want him.
agreed, anyway i would prefer a massive name for a winger e.g mata and would hope we get nzogbia on top of that as an impact player
http://tribalfootball.com/articles/liverpool-have-coentrao-offer-accepted-benfica-1658661 ??? Anyone else heard anything about this?
Yeah, that's been on a few websites. The source they quote, Correio da Manha, actually said he was going to Real Madrid. Somehow someone misconstrued it as Liverpool and subsequent rumour sites have latched onto it without actually looking to the original source. They all quote the same Portuguese newspaper, and it's not reliable at all.
Just sayin, if our first two purchases were Contreao and Aguero!!!!!! I would say that KPR's 3 year plan would be in full effect!
If Liverpools ''two major signings'' were Contraeo and Aguero, you may forget about my 3 year plan.I would be 100% sure our wait for the championship crown would be over, and we would be back on our ****ing perch. Then we can really kick Man United fans in the face when they're down.I would of course be wearing steel toe cap boots.
I can't see us signing both Contraeo and Aguero. If we sign one that'd be great, althought I've only ever seen Contraeo play once and he didn't look convincing. Then again can't really judge a player on one appearance. I think Aguero will go to someone with Champion League football and I think if it came to a bidding war Man City will jump in and offer ridiculous wages for him, especially if they lose Tevez. I also think him and Suarez are very similar and would be suprised if we tried to sign another top class forward when already spending £60mil on Carrol & Suarez. If we are going to sign anyone from Spain I'd rather it be Mata and Banega. Both are top class players and would be totally different from what we currently have. Banega is much like Alonso but more box to box with a brilliant range of passing. Mata is quick and skillful and was ahead of Silva in the pecking order for Spain at the World Cup and look how good he has been this season for City.
KPR you crack me up mate! Don't forget Contreao kind of solves a defensive problem, a CB is still needed, probably a CDM and play making one as well and of course wingers which Aguero is not. It does mean I can salivate over the fact that Carroll, Aguero, and Suarez will all play with Stevie G behind...... luxurious! With the Valencia situation, unfortunately I think it is one thing or the other ( wish wish we could get both!!!!) I think I would take Banega and N'zog over Mata and Adam, don't know if anyone is on the same page with this or not ( if it came down to it).
I've seen us linked with that Gervhino bloke. Can somebody please tell me why bacause he look's awful to me, and what's up with his barnet he has a receeding dreadlock look going on and look's like a complete clown. I would love Chellini for Aqua and a few bob, he is a top top defender and would smash the life out of Rooney.
Not sure which posters here have hinted at the Chiellini exchange for Aqua. I just can't see them wanting to get rid of their best defender. One can hope though!
If Juve took the option of player exchange the only two players I can see Liverpool being interested in are Chellini and Milos Krasic. They've only recently signed Milos Krasic,so thats possiby out.
If Krasic could cut out his constant swallow diving I would take him in a heartbeat. We certainly need winger's that take people on and he does that well. Hopefull Comolli and King kenny can pull off a few good transfer's at least we don't have to rely on Rick (im on holidays) Parry any more.
maxwell, adriano, and bojan look set to be released or sold from barca. I would take anyone of them with two solving outside back problems.
Maxwell is a bit old, but still a quality LB - depends on how much Barca would be looking for, because we could get a couple of years out of him then use Robinson. Adriano hasn't really played much at Barca and I worry that he won't settle in quickly at all in the EPL. Bojan I would take, better than Ngog that's for sure and with regular starts and as part of a frontline with Carroll and Suarez he would most likely get a lot of opportunities to score.
Rumour has it that Man United are baulking at the fee set by Aston Villa for Ashley Young, this could and only could put us in the driving seat for his signature.
Rumour on the Metro website is that we are lining up the Cameroonian international Benjamin Moukandjo as a alternative to Lille’s Gervinho who we have also been chasing. He would cost a lot less becuase his club, Monaco, have just been relegated to the French second tier. This is a funny rumour becuase he has limited experience (He arrived to Monaco in January) and his scoring rate is... pretty poor. 3 goals in 16 games.
