My biggest problem with over there is that the so called established posters and their followers can happily shout down any opinion they don't like or a poster they don't like and nothing is done.

The act of civilised debate is lost over there and there is so much pandering to egos it is untrue.

I have noticed one particular poster who if you said the sky was blue would argue it wasn't in her location, then demand facts, then disappear.

She strikes me as a person who if you have been to tenerife, she has been to elevenarife. But as she is a striker she can say as she likes and no one bat's an eyelid

People can totally ruin the board, and do, without ever going far enough to get banned.

If you have a go back they report you and a ban results.

They don't ever start decent threads, recount true stories or actually impart useful information.

It's just occasional and irrelevant entertainment which contributes nothing of any consequence.

I've started threads with thousands of responses, helped hundreds with tickets and dozens with transport and accommodation.

But they prefer to ban me and keep someone who does nothing but stir up trouble.

.... these sad cases squeeze in a bit of real life in between posting on various forums.

It's a scary glimpse into the warped minds of people we're forced to share the planet with.

Daft thing is mate, it's just a message board where you can spend an hour having a read. I like reading about the stories that you have shared. Daft young lads, remember when we were them , following Sunderland and the things that happened. Ah'm a few years younger than you, but love hearing the tales. It's what you would talk about over a pint with another Sunderland fan.

There's some very weird things go on over there.

I noticed Plank, on the '20m black hole' thread doing exactly what niceonemarra does ...

... issued a warning to people to watch what they were saying or risk a ban.

It wasn't just a 'careful lads' post, it was serious.

I was advised by a mod to take up my issue with Roger which I did.


He basically confirmed that mods get together and discuss certain posters and what to do with them! But insists it isn’t the poster it’s what a poster posts, I find that a bit contradictory.

I took Pancho to pieces on two different arguments when he was posting his opinions as a normal poster.

He, bizarrely, suggested it was disrupting the board even though I was bang on topic and being polite and logical.

He asked me to take it to pm which I did and he banned me. l've notice him warn other people if they get the better of him ...

... he argues as a normal poster but becomes a Mod if he's losing
