theres a British Legion Tariff to be paid by everyone from this moment on asking that question. 5 pound should cover it.

Managed to get hold of this down Seaham harbour. Over the moon with it. Put a fiver in the shaker and one of the vets shoved it in me hands and said this is our new one and wouldn’t say no

I have no real knowledge but the little I hear comes from knowing a couple of journos from a former life.

It’s fair to say many of the football lads are no fans of RTG and would happily tear **** up given half the chance <laugh>

This is a direct response to Kittens and the drivel he's posted.

As one of the clique on RTG who try to maintain an atmosphere of gloom and negativity.

@Hawyatt Earp posted great news and swore on his childrens lives that the info was genuine and true.

As he's a long standing poster, with no history of lying to fellow supporters, and having actual friends on the board you'd think he'd get some leeway. But no, his info is being picked over and denigrated by the vultures who are sly enough to disguise it from being an actual attack.

Kittens puts forward a list of idiotic possibilities and ends by informing everyone that they might be correct.

When he's pulled on it he backtracks and says that they're just pointless examples of what's within the outer limits of credibility. So why even bother to post them ffs.

And, as usual, he's playing the victim because that nasty man on 606 is harming the wonderful reputation he obviously believes he has.

Has he never noticed people don't crave his return on here with his relentless negativity. And has he never noticed how people only ever tag Grumpy Old Man when they want anything clarifying ... never him despite him obviously believing he and GOM are equally regarded.

Give it a rest man, your negative viewpoint has been noted.

That war memorial at Seaham is the finest of its kind. Brings a lump to the throat.

Its certainly something to be proud of. Its perfect. You can imagine him sitting in a trench, occasional bomb dropping around him, having to wait an hour or two for the whistle to advance, possibly to his death. Powerful but sombre. Perfectly proportioned, it looks so realistic you could almost see him standing up and walking off.

I like the one I posted showing the 3 kids looking up at him. As if the statue is talking to them, telling them a war story.

The kids give an idea of just how big the 'Tommy' statue is, I knew it was there but had never seen it in the flesh, now I get the scale of the thing it's an apt tribute to the heroes who crossed no mans land and never came home.

People talk about a Banksy of two policemen kissing being worth a million ...

... IMO this statue is priceless.

It only took a few minutes for Kittens to read and respond to my post. Never mind that he totally misquoted me, as always, and totally missed the point about his relentless negativity, as always.

He obviously believes people on RTG care whether he ever posts again ...

    ... or not <laugh>

"****ing hell, just read that smug post about me upload_2020-11-10_18-16-45.gif is he ill? For the record, I only visit there for the takeover craic, so I was unaware there was a (completely unironic) 5 paragraph post about why I shouldn't be allowed to question things our owners tell us in a separate thred.

Thankfully it seems that Hawyatt gets that this isn't a criticism of him, despite smug desperately trying to tell him he should be offended.

And that's my last word on that oddball."

North eastern artist who’s subjects are timeless ! Can’t wait for the unveiling of the Vaux drayhorses. Miss the smell of the hops on Saturday mornings in the town and the loud clip clop of those gigantic (to a young me) horses.
