We would have 40k +. Read his book, he has unfinished business, saw Short as a Crook even before Bri .

Keane was great and all that but never go back. He's not done anything since he left to suggest that he'd be a good appointment.

I’d burst with joy at this. Every 3 weeks when we sack some ****er I scream for Keano back.

Never should have went in the first place.

Not too keen on Keane. When someone has success once then goes on to do nothing for years it makes me think they peaked the first time and won't be any good the second.

Could go either way but it'd be a risky appointment and I don't think that's what we need.

I echo that, but we need to unite and he could be the perfect appointment to do that and take us to the top end of the Championship at least. He was better than Bruce and O'Neil. F. K me, McClean would be like George Best now !

I’d like to see the 2 brothers from Lincoln - they seem to have “something” - know the lower leagues and it might suit their ambition.

Honestly think it's a mistake going for someone who "knows the lower leagues". Think if the club sees itself as a big fish in a small pond, appoints Championship level players and manager and comes out fighting it's got to be the way to go. Last year the club went down the route of getting a manager and players who were meant to be a fit for the division rather than looking upwards and it was a disaster.

Will show the ambitions of the new owners, but I can't see it happening in the next week or two. A month away and then we can judge the manager and what direction the squad is heading in.

I believe that Keane is trending towards his natural level, in other words: like Pardew's first year up the road it was just a statistical blip.

You need someone better than him.

Everytime we swing by and stay in the North Durham region I am never failed to be impressed by the ground support for your club and you have the clout to be in a higher division given someone half-decent at the very top. I hope today's sale is that first step back and if this new owner is any good and gets in a decent manager (i.e. not Pardew, not McCarthy and certainly not Keane) then I hope for better things for you.

Good luck for a quick bounce back next season.

He did have that amazing season and I'd love nothing more than someone to come in and repeat that but I've seen **** all from him since that's made me think he's a good manager.

Like the calls for Di Canio to come back it's just rose tinted glasses as far as I'm concerned. Their success is in the past.

Big Sam might get the sack at Everton so he would be welcome for unfinished business, Benitez ? hoho.

I respect Haslam's opinion, he's usually right and is often the most positive person on here despite supporting the wrong team.

He's a good bloke and a good poster.

    That's fair enough but I think he's a prick

This is mostly due to his stooping very low and trying to suggest I was using Bradley lowreys passing as wumming
