Sunderland fan in peace. Good luck for the match and rest of the season. Lived down in west London years now so look out for your results due to so many R’s mates

Got to a few of your games when not able to get up north for Sunderland, although didn’t bring your lads much luck. Better I stay away. Although did gate crash a promotion street party about a decade ago <laugh>

More than we had, we didn't get the open top bus...

We seem very adept at obtaining players who aren't ****ing fit.
That's why they are cheap. Considering we were out of FFP penalty I'm suprised we are not actually competing in the transfer market - we only seem to go for kids for the future and injured crocks at the moment. I dare say the financial implications of a whole season without gate receipts and, I presume, reduced TV revenue has something to do with the club's financial caution at the moment. I hope the purse strings will be loosened soon and we can actually start to haggle for players who are fit and raring to go.

Admittedly the one time I’ve been it was to see a particularly awful 1-0 defeat under Holloway so it might be nicer than I recall.

I was at that one. It was the Saturday before Christmas, grim. Washington running around like a headless chicken up front on his own with not a sniff at goal. Izzy Brown ran at us from the half way line and weaved his way through our defence to score. He also did the same later that season at home to Huddersfield where he went on loan from Chelsea.

Gutted it’s postponed but at least he’s got extra time to get the new boys well prepared for a crazy fixture schedule.
Agreed that all pitches at this level should have a heating system especially up north.

I see Sheffield weds home game off too must be pretty bad around south yorkshire, we will have 2 games in hand on most teams, can't work out if that's a good thing
