Match preview;
Rotherham sit 4 places and 4 points behind us, in 20th place. They lost 1-2 to Cardiff on Tuesday night, but before that won 2 in a row, against Derby (3-0) then Preston (1-2). Both Michael Smith and Matthew Crooks are on 7 goals. We have won four of our last five, including two impressive away wins at Cardiff then Watford. Spirits have been lifted, and with Austin back leading the line, hope is restored.

I would comment on where a win could take us to in the table, but the table is clearly nonsense...I mean, Brentford are currently on top of it...which proves you can tell anything from the table until at least 35 games into the season...:emoticon-0114-dull::emoticon-0114-dull::emoticon-0114-dull:. I'll add some team news if it goes on the official, but the only person I've heard of being out this week is Warburton, who was apparently not at training as he was home and sick.

Enjoy, those who are watching, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

The beginning of a massive test now. 5 games over the next 15 days (or 11 games over 36 days coming up), from Saturday onwards. We're going to need a lot of squad rotation. We won't be the only team suffering this but we need to swim and not sink! Some of the squad players need to step up and show what they've got.

Question for everyone:

Dom Ball has not been very good for us lately. He's often been the weakest player in the team, with bad control, bad first touch and some strange decision making. His head doesn't seem to be in the game.

Would anyone be opposed to Bettache getting a run at Ball's expense? I really don't see how Bettache could play worse than Ball has been lately.

Ball hasn’t been that bad, has he? He’s prone to a mental five minutes here and there but generally think he’s been fine. Bettache looks like he’ll get lost in the snow.

I like his surging runs and he looks like he might score now and again, his ball control leaves me wincing though...if he was a better player i'd call him mercurial :biggrin:

I think he's been made to look better by being in a team getting good results lately. I'm not saying he's been desperately bad where he's giving away points. But he's been totally off the boil and looking like a much lower league player recently.

Ironically, I thought he was one of our best players last season. And Bettache has looked quite good recently.

The crowded fixture list is the same for all Clubs, but gives an advantage to generally the richer ones with large squads.

I guess Field is or will be an alternative to Ball, or is he injured too, wasn't on the Bench for Blackburn I don't think..Maybe Johansen is another if he can build his fitness.

Bloody hell other than the Fulham cup loss when have won 4 league games on the spin! :emoticon-0103-cool:

WLS are reporting that Eustace took training today and said de Wyjs and Field aren't fit yet and won't be involved Saturday. Dykes hasn't trained since his head bang Saturday and is rated only 50/50 to be ready. Warburton missed training today with a dodgy gut but is expected to be back tomorrow.
