Connolly...has he just lost his bottle following that tackle?

To be fair, it was a pretty harsh one. Deliberate etc etc.

Poor comparison I know but about 3 weeks ago I stepped outside my back door onto what I thought was a wet surface not a slippery one . I was very wrong it had a fine layer of ice - I went down heavy .
Since then when I do the same on a wet days it’s revisited my brain so I find myself being stupidly cautious but it’s receding . I think it’s very much psychological but it will pass .

Sorry lads and lasses but if Rosenior is to be replaced, then it needs to done sooner rather then later, giving him 10 games into next season means another manager has to assess the squad with no opportunity to change it until January to get who they'd want. For what it's worth, I think they'll stick with him, he's a bit of a yes man so Acun and Tan can throw all sorts of players at him but doesn't seem that Rosie can say no.

I'm desperate for him to succeed, with his connections to the area, but he needs to be bolder, play faster, and let these lads have their heads now and again, its ok having good possession but the name of the game is scoring more then the opponent, and we are failing miserably and have done for some time.

Ipswich are a classic example of playing the same system at pace and look were its taken them.

Maybe we do or maybe we do a Sunderland or Blackburn?

If LR stays then I think we'll know 10 games after the close of the window whether he's has managed to find a solution to our problems. If he hasn't then I think it's very difficult to justify him staying any longer.

As I've said though, I really think whether he's here or not come pre season, all depends how the season finishes and whether Acun/Tan think he has it in him to take the club up.

Both clubs sacked a good manager because the grass was greener and it backfired.

Hardly the greatest examples.

Ipswich are a classic example of sticking with a manager and not kneejerking him out cos he didn't get promoted from league 1 in his first season and being given time and stability.

I presume you read the full content, before quoting ? And yes McKenna has been with them linger, but if you read my post I quote 'I'm desperate for him to succeed'. The initial paragraph is in response to those suggesting that he should be given 10 ganes of next season and then if it doesnt improve get rid, my point being, if they aint happy with him now they should prepare for next season sooner rather then later !

Can we please stop this nonsense of Ipswich reaping the rewards of sticking with McKenna when he wasn't achieving and having had more time etc. It's nonsense.
He was appointed in December 21. His appointment saw a significant upturn (a bit like Rosenior) through to summer
Last season, 22/23, his 1st full season with them, he got Ipswich promoted.
This season they've been around top virtually all season.
There has been no sticking with him, giving him time, etc.

So he didn't get promoted with the biggest budget in league 1 in his first half season, the fans called for his head. He quite rightly performed to expectation (though it was touch and go for a while and was still under pressure) in his first full season, then taken those stable foundations and done something truly remarkable in his second full year.

They stuck with him in pretty much all of his first calendar year in charge. Now they're reaping the rewards that stability brings .

He didn't over perform at all until this year. Which is what you're demanding Rosenior do to simply to keep his job.

U r talking bollox. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kieran_McKenna

Wtf? Wikipedia link?

Far and away the best backed club in L1 last year, autos the expectation and nearly ****ed it up. Sections of fans were calling for his head until the latter stages of the campaign. Club refused to sack him.

If that's not sticking with, then what is?

Took 18 months to get the foundations, now look at what he's doing.

But I'll defer to your wiki link. <laugh>

No wonder you're clueless.

You say “yet” but how it’s structured with loans and poss departures. We don’t know if it still be “yet” next season or the season after. Which for me is why this season is a wasted opportunity(maybe)

Depends if you listen to the owners and director of football or not, I guess.

It's this season according to LR. In today's HDM he states he's now more confident than ever we'll make the play offs. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

Here we go with the insults.
Now tell me which FACTS on there about his time at Ipswich are incorrect then.

I’m not sure what they’ve said you’re referring to but if and if we don’t get any of the loans back we are starting all over again. So then we need x about of windows to build a squad. Acun and tan admit they aren’t patient which is why I believe they went bollocks deep in January.

You haven't posted any, or structured an argument. just expect me to look at Wikipedia.

What was their budget compared to the rest last year? Care to tell me?

Finished second and very nearly messed up autos. Disgruntled fans until the latter stages after loads saying he wasn't experienced enough for the job when he took over.

Ring any bells?
