If someone Fuller scored that goal it would be forgotten by now, just because they need a reason to love Rooney. Tiote's was stunning, left footed, outside of the boot and bottom corner. Rooney shinned it.

I did and when the Nazi's interogated me they though my Geordie was just peasant French. And I managed to get to the beach and swim back to Tyneside.

Cheik Tiote's goal was better than Wayne Rooneys goal in the Manchester derby as it didn't come off his shin.

but because Wayne Rooney scored it has to be overhyped, if Ameobi scored it would they show it as much?

If it was shola it wouldve been an amazing stroke of luck rather than an amazing goal.

We have a Manc in the office claiming that ONLY Rooney could score a goal like that and he's proven once an for all that he is simply world class.

I asked him to look at the season Messi is having and compare...

    ELmander against Wolves was better.

It's a great goal but if, I don't know, Matt Taylor scores it we forget about it by next week.

Absolutely stunning goal but, without takong anything away from Rooney's 'Rocket'.....you see at least one of them every week in the South American leagues.
I also think that this cracker was bettered by the same player at Old Trafford when, not long after he had joined United, he met a superb Giggs cross from the left with a full blooded volley, almost 3 feet off the ground and just inside the 18, that litterally flew past the opposing goalie. Don't remember who it was or the team, but I'll bet they remember that goal all right!!

It's Rooney ! He's English, so it's probably the best goal EVER! Hate the way most pundits are going on about it! It's like hes smashed the ball out of space, hit the moon, bounced off jupiter, discovered alien life, Killed Margaret Thatcher, Then struck the back of the ****ing net!

It's amazing what a nike football can do though :)
