Not necessarily. You can get your starting 11 right but the opposition do something unexpected and the players on the pitch arent the right ones to adapt. A player can have a nightmare 30 minutes and need taking out for the good of the team. A coach, in my opinion, is asleep at the wheel if he doesnt change those things with the ability to make 5 subs.

I would like to think if I made a change at 0-0 after 30 mins because the writing was on the wall and we go on to win people would think i was proactive. If i make a change at 1-0 down and change to get a draw I would be reactive.
