I've seen a load of great bands, but alot of the older ones were probably anywhere between 20 and 40 years past their prime. They've all been amazing live, but I can't help think bands like Motorhead would've been better in the 70's.

Saw lots of brilliant live groups in the 60's & 70's, when the biggest and best in the land appeared all over the region with such regularity, but the most memorable performance ever was Johnny Cash at the Sands in Carlisle with June Carter and Kris Kristofferson - 1982 I think.

Absolutely amazing!

Johnny Cash: now you're talking class..<ok>

I'm going to see Roger waters- the wall tomorrow night at the O2, can't wait and really looking forward to seeing comfortably numb, the greatest song of all time.
I've just heard that Dave Gilmour joined him on stage last night, I will be severely f@&£ed off if he is not there tomorrow night.
What's everyone favourite live performance you have seen ?

Stone the Crows - Queen Elizabeth Hall - 1972, I think. Maggie Bell - what a ****ing load of woman she was!!!

I'm going to see Roger Waters next saturday in Manchester - It'll be the first concert I've ever been to, and it looks like it's going to be amazing! Apparently, Gilmour was only doing one concert, I wish I could have seen this live...

Seen this show the first time round back in the early 80's at Earls Court and I have to say it was unbelievable. Thought I was in a dream (nothing to to do with the air being thick with waccy baccy smoke, although it was) Got goosepimples when Dave Gilmour was playing comfortably numb guitar solo on top of the wall. Got tickets for Birmingham and Manchester, can't wait
