Condescending or what? <laugh>
I note that, not for the first time, you evaded the tricky part of the question.
Whether or not either of them would come remains to be seen- but to say it's madness to consider it is just daft.

Perhaps you're starting to worry that it might just happen?

I wouldn't worry if Pep was your manager and Jose your Press manager.

And nor was it condescending. You can't pretend otherwise, you've fallen along way and bar one season in recent times, hovered in the upper mid table region.

That means you are very unlikely to attract the very highest quality, players or managers.

You need to find a gem, many of you thought Rodgers was that gem but time has shown those people to be wrong.

I think you will get a manager from within the PL. I've thrown a few names around I admit were for a laugh but there's some talent here. You just have to realise most of your appointments are going to carry a risk of failure. It's a poisoned chalice.

You mean like the guy running the club winning the trophy you or us haven't looked like winning recently..

But seriously...it'll not be long now..you'll either be able to be smug about something very small...like you're the new Arsenal or you'll be back on to sidestep and explain how one of the managers you are lauding above are actually ****..

Like a window....lol.

Well be champions soon enough..believe me when every fan of other clubs will know about it.

If there's one thing us United fans have learned, is we were far to polite regarding our clubs success.

Dont try and have a sensible argument with him Saint, it's not possible <ok>

He'll disappear again when United start losing like he did couple of years ago

And here was me thinking we might almost have a sensible discussion.
My shift's over, can someone else take care of the loony for a while?

If he makes it to the next game then there's a very real chance he might just escape. Even Rodgers can't fck up the next 2 games.

And I bet @Tobes is praying he's still there in 3 games
Too right I am. I want Bobby Brown shoes to hammer the last nail in at Goodison.

It'd be a fitting end for the wee man

Way I see it is as follows...

FSG are waiting to see what happens against Villa. These are the scenarios

1. Poor performance and loss / bore draw = Sacked

2. Poor performance but scrape win = Buys a tiny bit more time / stay of execution but still on very very thin ice

3. Good performance and any result = Buys a little more time and we move onto the next game with FSG still monitoring the situation closely and if that's back to the usual dross then sacked

Rodgers has to show that he can get this team to play and have an identity to save himself now. But i think he's at the limit of his managerial capacities

He persists in inexplicably playing players out of their preferred position, in selecting the usual culprits for the first 11 as they're his favs and in refusing to accept the reality of what's happening every time we play a match. Rodgers is the biggest believer in Rodgers own mythology, only the myth isn't kept on gilded scrolls in an important place but scrawled in pencil on A4 lined paper he's scrwed up and soaked in tea to make it look authentic

You got Villa and then a team that used to manufacture personal organisers. If he cant save his job against those two, he really is a waster.

Dont agree. I don't think any owner goes into a game thinking if we lose we'll sack him but if he wins then we'll give him a couple more games.

Oncd cd you start thinking we'll sack him if X happens then you've lost the confidence and should get get shot.
