Hire one first. I thought I wanted one then tried both a camper and a coach built motorhome and preferred the motorhome, but also realised that for the amount I would use it I’d actually be better off just hiring one every time. That’s not to say I wouldn’t buy one, but I’d definitely try both out first.
Good call that. I know in the US they have dedicated RV yards where people store their RV's when they're not using them, so 11 months pa in many cases. I always wondered about the wisdom of having millions of dollars worth of vehicles sitting around getting damp and rusty.

Memory is strange, cant remember what i did last year , but can remember the boxing day1965 game against Millwall which we won 1-0 (Millwall o.g.) the att 40,231 the atmosphere was electric, still got marks on my backside from sitting on the cinder track, day like that are few and far between.

I was at the game. Settled by an own goal from Harry Cripps.
Would have been many more but for Alex Stepney in goal, who later signed for Manchester United.
Was also there for the 1-4 defeat to York. If I remember correctly Paul Aimison scored a hat trick for them.

Has anyone got a link to watch the goals & hear Terry’s reaction??

apologies if already posted

edit- ignore I found a link posted by Qatartiger

That defeat to York was my first ever league football game - and at the time I was a York fan! We did live in York at the time. By time Hull won 2-1 at York later in the season I'd switched allegiance and stuck with it ever since. We got promoted of course, and York finished bottom, which made the 4-1 an early example of 'typical City.'

I was there. Originally thought it was an OG by Tom Wilson who we later signed. But record books have down as Gilchrist OG. "Can everyone on the South Stand move closer together as another train is arriving." Those were the days.

We are totally in love with Scotland especially the west coast, absolutely wild and ****ing free, well not free as it cost us a fortune for the week. From hull to fort William in a day was both a wonderful and tiring experience. Driving by so many lochs reminded me of how much I loved the sea during my years in the merchant navy. Yorkshire and Scotland are my favourite places in the world, in that order. We went last February, pissed down almost every day but oh my ****ing Lord was it beautiful. Mind you when our lass walked through the shower screen forgetting to open the door it put a little mokka on the trip but that’s another story. As GLP says “ Highly Recommended “

The Bealach Na Bà road to Applecross. Probably the finest driving road in the UK.

Great road, better on a motorbike though <ok> Scotland's full of great roads; Moffat to Selkirk, the road through **Glencoe (my personal favourite) - we go every year and seem to find a better road every time.

** Any excuse to post this ...

Thanks QT...worked fine..three very nice goals from what I saw. I hope the second half at windy Fleetwood was an aberration.

I'm coming round thanks...nasty stuff these aneurysm surgeries...my third so far..hard to move after them.

I was there that day. Remember it well. Alex Stepney was in goal for them.. Great atmosphere on Bunkers Hill behind the goal. Happy days

Once you get through Glasgow and over the Erskin bridge it’s jaw dropping time. I loved driving around Loch Lomond but as you head west the sheer mountain road takes your breath away. All along were piles of rock from previous slides, some of them the size of a large shed and mini waterfalls coming down the mountain walls. My Mrs was absolutely cacking herself but man the beauty of it was just wonderful. Now that is a brilliant road for a bike( not push) We had a stop in Inveraray, when I found out there was a jail there I wanted to put her in it, just for an hour or two lol. We are going again ( covid permitted) in February, the pissing down almost every day hasn’t put us off but for some reason we had a week without a single cross word, mind you she wasn’t happy as I laughed my tits off when she went through that shower door. She knocked it off it’s rail and the bloody thing exploded, funniest thing I’ve ever seen her do...
