Disagree re Foley and Pearce Royston...

Foley is no Solly and he's not a RB. For me he didn't do much wrong all game and filled in well IMHO. He got very little protection from Holmes in front of him, but allowed Holmes the freedom to attack at will.

I like Pearce. He's as solid a CB as you'll find in L1. Did well at the start of the season taking the inexperienced Konsta under his wing. It's gunna take a few games for him and Baer to develop an understanding.

Jacko, Crofts and Ulvestad... all completly ineffective today offering nothing going forward and very little defensively.

Fox... did ok.

McGuinness... worked his bollocks off with zero support. Looked relieved to come off.

Holmes... at fault for the goal. He had no reason whatsoever to dive in when the Rochdale winger was going nowhere. However, he's still well worth the £5 entrance fee and along with Lookman was our only genuine attacking threat. Ludicrous decision to take him off when chasing a goal (he didn't look too pleased with getting hooked either).

Botaka... f*****g awful footballer.

Novak... Put himself about well and had a couple of good touches.

Ajose... Looks so far out of sorts. Deffo needs to be in the box to be effective. His link up play is non existent.

Just the way I saw it.

Foley slows the team down with his poor passing. I watched him closely at RB today - he gave away possession 3 times in the first 15 min incl a simple cushion header.

Pearce's long ball passing today was excreable.

If we're looking for our make-shift RB to dictate our tempo we're in s**t.

With 3 CM's the ball should be popped in there for those boys to dictate. But, sadly those boys were passengers.

The only plus point from yesterday was hearing the crowd turn on Slade - chants of "4-4-2" really shouldn't be necessary when you play at home to Oldham and Rochdale.

Slade felt the booing was "a little bit disrespectful " - you aint seen nothing yet mate - I call 2 points and 1 goal from open play from Oxford, Oldham and Rochdale v.disrespecful.

i left on about 60 mins. we'd seen enough. they obviously hadnt learned from their mistakes the previous tuesday. our build up play is just so one dimensional.

we'll struggle this season. with tommy driesen still picking players we're going to end up getting relegated to L2, and then the belgian top division after that.

cant say there were more than 11k in the ground. we'll end the season with real attendances of about 4k
