I know people love his pace but his crosses are often blocked quickly or off target.

Robertson & Meyler lost possession way too much in the final third today and it cost us 3 points.....

Robertson, flatters to deceive, too lightweight to defend, hence their equaliser.

Robertson has cost us alot of points this season, I can think of 9 points off hand, the best thing I can see he did was the cross into diame against palace.

Robbo isn't helped when Meyler runs across his path constantly when he's running with the ball.

I want to like Robertson so much, his pace and enthusiasm are terrific. The fact remains that defensively he is a liability and his final ball is inconsistent at best. He needs game time to improve but I'm not sure we're in the position to give him that experience. I think he'll come good but right now, he has done and will continue to cost us valuable points. Not saying it was his fault today, but he's certainly cost us a fair few goals this season.

Agree with you in part but I wouldn't say he had a blinder. He was brilliant getting forward into dangerous positions and even defensively, harrying their players and snuffing out any danger down our left flank, but his delivery was ****e today.

He does all the hard work then just hammers the ball across the box without looking up. He needs to calm down a bit and pick a target to aim at and we'll be laughing.

Anyone blaming him for their goal needs to give their head a shake, we could have had Ashley Cole in his world-class prime there tonight and that goal still would have gone in if he was left to try and beat Rodwell to the ball in the air.

I haven't watched any replays but, we had 3 centre halves on the pitch, surely enough to cover that 10/15 yard space between where the cross was played from and the far post. Where were they?

He did some good stuff today. Seems he's lost a bit of the confidence from early season, which is understandable.

He's been on the up since Queens Park and he's just had a bit of a reality check this last few weeks.

    He's still an excellent prospect.

If you need me to tell you what he did well tonight you either didn't go or you took no notice.

Agreed with Polly. He had a decent game. Same with Elmo.

It was the finishing that let us down. At least these two created those chances in the first place. Better than not doing it at all.

That was my main gripe about Stoke away last weekend.

He will be a top player no doubt, but not quite sure how he got motm today. Meyler actually delivered the 2 best crosses from the left despite Robertson getting forward constantly and looking over the course of the season he has cost us goals/points in at least 3 games off the top of my head. Brady is the better bet for me at the moment at left wing back as he is defensively more sound, is more of a goal threat and has better (if infuriatingly inconsistent) delivery. In fact, I reckon he has more assists than Robertson despite playing fewer games and he certainly hasn't cost us any goals defensively that I can think of.

People having at a go at Robbo are ridiculous. His first thought is attack, he's confident, scares defenders ****less, and if there were people in decent positions I'm sure he'd find them. Fact is, he works his arse off to get to the area and looks up, sees one player surrounded by defenders, and thinks 'ill just drill the bastard and hope for the best'. He should play every game and our tactics should be to support and feed him and elmo whenever possible.

One thing with Robertson, we attack with far more urgency and pace when he's on the pitch. I thought he was excellent in the first half(which is probably what got him MotM), but he faded in the second and he obviously still has a fair bit to learn.

He had the beating of the Sunderland right back every time. I wish he had run at him and taken him on more during the game. But Robbo played very well last night.

I've just been on the Sunderland board, he stood out to some of them too.
