After letting long go and Snodgrass doing his knee we suddenly look weaker than last season with an enormous pile up of games.

No we dont. Snoddeh wasnt here last season. Quinn was excellent today. Meyler was first choice last season, Rosy not even on the bench. Its only Long thats gone and we have Ince to come good plus Sagbo is going to be miles better this year.

I'm not a physio or Doctor (despite my uniform), but the slow-mo appeared to show an awkward twist of Snodger's knee.

I reckon it might not be a full cruciate job, but certainly looked like a bit of a bad one.

I agree, how can we be weaker than last year when a player who wasn't here is injured?

Centre half and a striker for now.

Then pick up a youngster and a loanee.

Job's a good 'un.

<ok>

At first I thought he had been studded in the ankle, then he grabs his knee.

Couldn't work out what it might be.

Hyper extension, meniscus?

If it's a cruciate, that's massively unlucky for him.

I'm also going to say that on viewing the replay, I don't think Barton had anything to do with it. It was one of those unfortunate twists when your foot is planted and your leg wants to go the other way.

You see them all the time, and just hope they don't get you.

A shame.

On Bruce, although its not nice to see him get injured, felt much more comfortable with Macca in the back 3 instead of him

"He walked off rather than stretcher as is the case with ACL."

Not necessarily, I've torn both. Carried off with the right one; walked off with the left one.

For his sake, hope it's nothing more than a meniscus tear.
I tore the ACLs in both knees (not at the same time). I couldn't walk for days on either. If he's damaged it, it will only be a strain rather than a tear or rupture. He seemed to be holding the outside of the knee, which suggests a lateral strain to me. Weeks, rather than months out, is my bet.
