Waiting to hear more on his injury but it didn't look good, Joey Barton involved. If it's ligaments it could be serious and mean a lot of time out.

However, the plus side is Quinn looked exceptional when he came on and can play a similar role. What do you think this could mean for the team? Bit of a ****ter to lose one of our new signings if it is indeed bad.

Hopefully it's not too serious.

He walked off rather than stretcher as is the case with ACL.

Barton is a ****ing disgusting thug. He aims to maim players. He should not be allowed on a football pitch.

However in this instance it just looked a fairly innocuous tussle to me. Barton not to blame.

Injuries are part of the game - hopefully Snoddy will be okay in a week or two. Quinniesta took his chance by the sound of it & showed its important to keep him as part of our squad.

Hope Alex Bruce and Snodgrass are both okay need as many numbers as possible this season.

I was shocked with Snodgrass being replaced by Quinn and not Meyler, but it paid dividends.

He would not have a career in professional football if this was the case.

Against the lesser teams, I always wanted Bruce to play Quinn in the midfield 3 instead of Meyler, as he did today and as you say it paid off. I hope Quinn gets his chance this year, he links up really well with pacy LWBs Brady and Robertson.

Not necessarily, I've torn both. Carried off with the right one; walked off with the left one.

For his sake, hope it's nothing more than a meniscus tear.

I agree, Quinn and Brady always played well together and he looked good with Robertson! Is anybody else surprised by Robertson? He didn't put a foot wrong and was very impressive.

I don't like Barton but it wasn't his fault at all. Fair enough Barton was trying to get the ball but Snodgrass seemed to twist his knee with his studs getting stuck in the ground.

After letting long go and Snodgrass doing his knee we suddenly look weaker than last season with an enormous pile up of games.
