He was a doubt for Newcastle too. I suggest we should rest him rather than aggravating whatever problem he has.
guy sat near us at Newcastle claimed he needs a stomach operation and they where just trying to get him through as much as possible..
Might be a hernia, which can be quite minor and only be out of 2 or 3 weeks. If it is they might wait until the next international break and do it then.
According to the Mirror he has a hernia problem that may need surgery.

Done laparoscopically 3 weeks would be ok. However still the risk of a failed hernia repair at that point until 6-8 weeks.
If it does not hurt him at the moment can continue on with a danger of it getting bigger.
I was assuming (should never assume) inguinal (groin) and with this can have no pain at all or lots depends. I have had 3 no real pain with the third, but, plenty of discomfort with the other two. Suspect since he had been playing that he does not have a lot of pain/discomfort at the moment. So hopefully he can keep playing until there is a window to fix it. Quick recovery if done laparoscopically have friends that were up and kite boarding within 3 days. Took a little longer myself, however if its an open then out for at least 6 weeks unless you want to risk a recurrence.Depends on the location of the hernia. I had an umbilical (belly button) hernia ..damn thing was sticking out about half an inch...for years and was able to keep playing. Painful but livable with. Finally had the op...an hour under local anaesthetic...and was up and about with no problems the next day. If he has the op at the beginning of the break shouldn't miss a game. But it really depends where the hernia is....groin ones can be very painful.
My fairly reliable source just txt saying Brady is playing - heard it from the mouth of some of the lads apparently.
