He was a doubt for Newcastle too. I suggest we should rest him rather than aggravating whatever problem he has.
I would suggest Rosie at rb elmo rm Figueroa back in and not seen anything or heard anything from the club about Brady being a doubt
Boyd did very well at Newcastle, so if Brady were ruled out I imagine he'd be a straight replacement.
No sod that, he's in my fantasy team and I'd have to play Ben Arfa otherwise, if Bruce rests him he'll have his priorities all wrong!
guy sat near us at Newcastle claimed he needs a stomach operation and they where just trying to get him through as much as possible..
When Bruce took over, I'm sure some Sunderland fans mentioned that they had an inexplicable amount of player injuries during his reign there. It seems to be the case for us at the moment.
Strange one this... Bruce hasnt said anything about Brady... anyone know for sure if he needs an operation or not?
Might be a hernia, which can be quite minor and only be out of 2 or 3 weeks. If it is they might wait until the next international break and do it then.
According to the Mirror he has a hernia problem that may need surgery. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/hulls-injury-hell-the-last-2307693
Done laparoscopically 3 weeks would be ok. However still the risk of a failed hernia repair at that point until 6-8 weeks. If it does not hurt him at the moment can continue on with a danger of it getting bigger.
Depends on the location of the hernia. I had an umbilical (belly button) hernia ..damn thing was sticking out about half an inch...for years and was able to keep playing. Painful but livable with. Finally had the op...an hour under local anaesthetic...and was up and about with no problems the next day. If he has the op at the beginning of the break shouldn't miss a game. But it really depends where the hernia is....groin ones can be very painful.
I was assuming (should never assume) inguinal (groin) and with this can have no pain at all or lots depends. I have had 3 no real pain with the third, but, plenty of discomfort with the other two. Suspect since he had been playing that he does not have a lot of pain/discomfort at the moment. So hopefully he can keep playing until there is a window to fix it. Quick recovery if done laparoscopically have friends that were up and kite boarding within 3 days. Took a little longer myself, however if its an open then out for at least 6 weeks unless you want to risk a recurrence.
Genuinely hope that this can be rectified during the international break, with minimal disruption to his playing time, of the players from last season, he and Aluko have been the stand outs for me and his form has heavily contributed to our good start.
Injuries are the only worry on the Tiger Horizon. We keep em all fit and we'll stay up easily. Any long term injuries to key players at the same time and its a different story
My fairly reliable source just txt saying Brady is playing - heard it from the mouth of some of the lads apparently.
I have no doubt he will play until the international break and that`s when they assess to see if an op is required, gives them two weeks where there will be no disruption on the team, fingers crossed he`ll be back in three.
Steve Bruce has said that Robbie Brady is better this week than last week. Those @ Newcastle know just how good Brady was that day. I dont see any issues with Brady for the West Ham game.
