I think there is more anger towards the Pozzos for bringing back Giaretta above Edwards and Duxbury's head than actually sacking Rob as that shows they clearly back one man over the others.

But yes you do wonder if people are more annoyed as Edwards was someone they related to.

For me, I'm annoyed because of what was said in the summer. If Duxbury (as spokesman for the club) hadn't said anything about cultural change, a new start, and giving Rob Edwards their backing, then I would have expected the club to have acted as they always have done. Results (and more to the point, performances) haven't been as good as they should be given the squad, so in some ways it's fair for Edwards to go (Ivic was in a much better spot when he was sacked). But if you say you're going to do things differently, but then do things exactly the same, then fans feel lied to. We expected the club to give him time to see if he would learn and turn things around. Instead he gets chucked during the international window at the first sign of things being a bit mediocre, which is what they said they wouldn't do.

Since the Pozzos took over we have had 18 different managers. I think if a man got married 18 times and said that he's still waiting for the right one then it would be time to cast the blame somewhere else than on his 18 wives !

I think that’s fair, F1, but it does beg the question why did they make a ‘promise to change’ if the club was in such a serious financial plight that there was no room for error (i.e. not getting promoted)?

Even Henry V111 only got through 6 wives in the time the Pizzas have been with us

Scott Duxbury obviously hadn’t consulted with Gino before doing the interviews or was just pulling the wool over people’s eyes .

Nothing wrong with having 18 wives. The trick, and this is where Gino gets it wrong, is to have them all at the same time.

With the complex financial arrangements of the club and Udi, I do wonder how much Dad is still pulling some of the strings.
I think it is more a case of Duxbury being put firmly in his place, you look after the running of the non football side of the club and leave the football side to those who know best. ME

Allegedly Pozzo Snr told Gino to reinstate Giaraetta..

And probably gives Pozzo Jnr some money to help run the club.

I wonder if Pozzo like Giaraettta thinks this is an excellent squad we have?

Going by the statement made on Monday got the impression he expected us to be pretty much where Sheff U are (I guess we did beat them..)
