I know that not everyone thinks this way, but as far as I am concerned there is too much football. Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday games arranged to suit TV. Great if you are a fan from the north-east facing a trip to the south coast on a Monday night. Football has become a commodity to buy and sell, not something for a fan to feel involved with. The FA Cup, that once was the showpiece of the season, and a magnet for TV fans as well as the supporters of the two teams, has become devalued because of the schedules and because it doesn't have the same amount of money attached to it as European games.
You can still find fun and enjoyment with the game in the lower leagues. I now get pleasure watching young players hoping to launch a football career in the third tier of French football. The tension of watching Chateauroux trying to hang on to a 1-0 lead can be just as engrossing as watching Watford misfiring despite the vast difference between what the players are earning.

Anyone think Duxbury might walk? He’s now getting contaminated by this mess too.

From what I have heard and read he is blamed for the mess by most

Someone lurking in the shadows is probably responsible for all the sackings and poor recruitment

    A bit like Dominic Cummings

Seems like it’s the Pozzos more now.

Must admit whilst I can see the frustration and anger from fans I wonder how many were bemoaning the teams performances so far and asking questions of Edwards themselves?

Unfortunately the manager really does seem to carry the can with us!

The reaction from outside the club will be even more negative as Edwards was a young British manager who they thought was going to get a chance.

I watched the Udinese Inter game just before the break and noted that Gino Pozzo was at the game. I wonder if he had gone to see his dad for consultations (or a good telling off).

Sounds like it if comments elsewhere are right.

And Edwards criticized Gaspar which probably wouldn't go down well with those who signed him after the Sunderland game.

His dad was probably lining up RE for Udinese - to take over from Sottil if/when they drop out of the top four.<whistle>

After all this, I wonder what will happen if Bilic can't get a work permit?

Our girls team have just won two games on the trot 6 - 0

Use their manager and get a couple of the girls to get short haircuts

Having read comments from many sources and points of view, I believe that if Rob had not engaged with, and become popular with the fans, the reaction would have been different despite any shortcomings. We have seen previous coaches depart with barely a whisper after all. I really think that Gino has screwed up this time by disposing of him after his welcoming words, although were they his words? The money invested by an owner will always give them rights that the ordinary fan doesn't have, but a silent stadium does not help that owner see a return on his money. If you are in the premier league, TV will provide enough revenue where the fans spending money becomes secondary, but in the Championship or lower you really need to the fans to feel a part of the club.

I have lost a lot of that, sadly. It doesn't help being abrado, however, it is the blatent smoke and mirrors from the club/directors that has worn me down.

Can you ever see Watford fans voting with their feet or staging demos against their owners like some other fans have done Frenchie ? - the Pozzos are destroying the club we love and enough is enough - I want them gone asap whatever happens afterwards.

I can see people staying away until the performance on the pitch looks better. People forget very quickly, and there must be a raft of new fans who know little of the struggles to even still exist.
