ABDENNOUR SIGNS FOR VALENCIA?
Reported Chelsea target Aymen Abdennour has signed a five-year contract with Valencia, according to L’Equipe.
A fee was agreed between Monaco and Valencia for the centre-back this morning which could rise up to €34million including bonuses.

I've figured out your problem fellas, you have to stop playing 2 games every weekend. You've got the one we all see on MOTD or at the ground and the one LVG watches.

It's Chelsea's transfer strategy. They can't develop a young player to save their lives, so they sign up all the other youngsters, pay them a bomb and loan them to the wrong club just to make sure no one else gets to develop any players.

That, and Mourinho's strategy for keeping Spurs and Liverpool out of the top four seems to be to buy any decent player they might be interested in and ruin them in the way only Mourinho can.

Is that Mateja Kezman I see lurking in the background?

Oh dear, we have slipped from the most expensive squad ever in the history of football to the third most expensive this year :(

Manchester United's summer spending has given them the third most expensive squad in Europe, behind only neighbours Manchester City and Real Madrid.
According to the CIES Football Observatory, only Real (£428.5 million) and City (£408.1m) paid more in transfer fees to acquire their current group of players.
