If the chavs keep up that pace they will wrap up the title a long time before May. Reminds me of some of the United teams of the 90s (with cantona, kanchelskis, Hughes) when teams will just be brushed aside. Although Chelsea are nowhere that exciting to watch.

But there is still hope for the others. I remember a few seasons back when they were about 10 points ahead of United in November but faltered very badly after December. Somehow I can't see that happening under Mourinho.

Chelsea will win it easily. I don't think they're that great a team and they'll be found out in Europe but they have no competition in the PL. City look like a team that needs refreshing and I think the manager is too nice to have that ruthless, cutting edge required, he got lucky last season as similarly there were no credible challengers. Arsenal still aren't there, Liverpool are bang average without Suarez and United are at the start of a three season process. It wouldn't surprise me if Saints stay the course as the closest, albeit far away, challenger.

The guy takes stubbornness to whole new levels. He doesn't sign the players his squad desperately needs, he cannot make a tactical substitution to save his life and he had one tactic for 90% of games.
He is great at spotting and nurturing talented youths, but is hopeless at thinking on his feet and changing the outcome of games with a tactical change or substitution, he plays players in the wrong positions, completely dulling their effectiveness and he also thinks that a team challenging for the title can make do with Olivier Giroud as their main striker

Everytime they play any team that is either a) Better than them personnel wise or b) Has a manager with a brain, they come unstuck.
Can look like world beaters against relegation fodder, but against anyone decent.....
Look at their record in Europe for Christs' sake!! How many times do they scrape through their group only to get knocked out by the first decent team they play?

And don't even get me started on the way he trains his players! Almost kills them, runs them into the ground so when it comes to match day, the slightest knock and they are laid up for 3 months.

I'll add that your comment about his training methods simply magnifies how much you're talking out of your hole. He doesn't overwork the players at all. If anything they don't train enough when it comes to the physical aspects of the game, they train like sprinters. His preference is for "athletes"; lean, mean, hamstring rupturing machines.

In terms of his overall game he's a lightweight. This isn't a dig at Chelsea, quite the opposite. The team is full of quality footballers and as a result, now more than ever, Oscar looks a couple of steps below most of them.

It leads to a greater point in that generally, Brazilian midfielders that have played or continue to play in the prem aren't all that.

Have you ever been to Stamford Bridge? **** stadium, terrible atmosphere. Whenever I've been the majority of the noise is made by the away fans. Ok, Wenger was a decent manager, and he has made good squads. My point is the landscape has changed and through, I dont know, stubborness or incompetence he won't change with it.
I don't think he focuses enough on the opposition, complete tunnel vision, that if he does this or that with his team, their mental strength and valour will see them through.

I remember watching Chelsea with Ian Porterfield in charge, and Glenn Hoddle, one of the first games I saw in fact, home to Nottingham Forest, we got completely owned, lost 0-2 but should have been much more.

You have no idea how old I am (31), how long I have been supporting Chelsea (since 94), and obviously no clue about Arsenal. Half my family are Arsenal fans and I have seen them live almost as many times as I have seen Chelsea.

And the Everton thing......complete mistake on my point, and I apologised, and both the Everton fans on here accepted it and we moved on.
