I always thought Pep is overrated as a manager .. he spend more than previous manager of team that win everything yet they are playing like clowns

He doesnt know anything but possession.

It took a while but all u do is sit back and you have a great chance of taking away the entire threat.

Ffs even a moyes led united gave them a scare and well...

Tbf he needs CF's and AM who are prepared to run behind the defence like Messi, Villa, Iniesta, Pedro etc did at Barca for him. That's when the possession, pressing game of his really does work.

true .. but the QS how the previous manager win with ease last season with the same team not to mention the new arrival stars such as Gotze or Thiago.
Bayern even made UTD look better than they are this season, so obviously he is struggling
and agree those players you mentioned in Barca fit his style, the problem is when you change teams you expect as a manager to adopt and prove that you are not one trick pony magician, where is plan B? is he planning to change Bayern into Barca? that is unrealistic, Pep is one trick pony who master one style

He's never hidden the fact he's trying to change Bayern into Barca. In football style I mean. If one trick pony means he totally believes in possession, pressing and penetration football then yeh I guess so. But there's a difference between having an ideology and being a one trick pony imo. He could set up to defend and counter if he wanted but he just doesn't believe in it.

tbh his tactic will work only with above players you mentioned, am watching football since 70s and am telling you i never seen quality individuals such as Xavi, inesta and Messi in one team .. if he think he can have similar team in Bayern, he is dreaming tbh

Won the German league by 20 points in April and reached semis of CL. Hardly doing a bad job

In a way I agree, I reckon he believes any team can play like that. He believes that's how football should be played and therefore anyone and everyone should play it that way. The other purist in North London is dumb as well as stubborn. Just didn't get the physical side of the game for too long.

Question then, if he was available tomorrow, would you not want Pep?
