They've had the best player in the league/Europe/world in every position for the last twenty years.

  3. When you say top four, are you expecting him to score against Liverpool or including Everton in there? Nicely limited to this season for the benefit of your argument too. Anyone would think you've talking to UIR <whistle>

Why is any other season relevant?

The fact is, as good as he was for the first 14 games, hes got progressively worse as the seasons gone on and he has failed to score in any games against title rivals.

For me, the greatest players score regularly in the very biggest games. they dont go missing in games against title rivals. Suarez has done this season. Yesterday he was gash.

  5. Fair enough, he's not been as good recently as he was earlier in the season, that is undeniable. However, he did help us beat Arsenal and Man City (sticking to your guys top four claim here). Maybe you should try acknowledging his all round game rather than just his goals? Afterall, I still argue against others that claim he is a natural goalscorer, I used to argue that he's not a striker but not sure that applies when he's got thirty goals in thirty-one games.

PS...if only this season counts, how **** is Rooney...? And RvP for that matter! <whistle>

Both have scored against a side in the top 4 <whistle>

RVP has been injured for most of the season, but still has a pretty good goals per games ratio. Rooney has played mainly as a number 10, and has 17 goals and 10 assists, which isn't to bad for a player who's been playing in a struggling side, and missed a spell with injury too:biggrin:

He is a cheating flat track bully. He is useless against the top teams. In any case, why should we reward a racist who bites ?

Yaya Toure is 10 times more deserving. And we all know why he doesn't get the recognition <ok>

Despite my hatred for City, I have to say im a big admirer of Yaya Toure, he can pretty much do every thing. He is probably the most complete footballer in the league. When he has been injured this season City look a shadow of there normal selfs, as they are so reliant on him

  13. Obviously not since Suarez won <doh>

You do realise the P in PFA stands for 'Players' right? As in, its an award that the players decide? Therefore, since you and I aren't players, our opinions matter about as much as...

You could have done with the 'players player of the year' yesterday, didn't do a thing when you needed him most. This is why I do not rate him as one of the worlds best, there is no doubt the guy is supremely talented but he doesn't do it in the big games, instead he becomes a passenger. You'd of done better without him yesterday

We needed them all to turn up on Sunday not just him, its a team game and the team have to take collective responsibility.

Obviously it's a team game, but so much of what Liverpool do best is through him. There is nothing wrong with relying on 1 player, as pretty much all the top teams in the world can be reliant on one player, and if that player has an off day, the team struggle. Liverpool are where they are in the table because of 1 player, the same could have been said about us and RVP last season , but the difference was RVP delivered for us in the big games, and that's why we won the title. Suarez struggles to play to his best in the big games, and that has been blatantly obvious this season

That is why the racist is not deserving of POTY. The top players shine in big games. Yaya Toure is the one who pulls his team along and whenever his teams need him he does not crumble under the pressure. <ok>
