How can Mourinho whinge and moan though, when plenty of teams he's managed in the past have adopted similar tactics. Look at how he set up his Inter Milan side against Barca? Look at how he used to set up Real Madrid against Barcelona, playing with no strikers? Look at how he set up his Chelsea side at Old Trafford this season, again with no strikers? Or at the Emirates this season?

This is the same Mourinho, who selects his number 10, based on there ability to track back and tackle!

Mourinho just got a taste of his own medicine last night, and as Big Sam said, he can't take it:biggrin:

On this evidence, will he go all out to catch up with City? To have a realistic chance of the title Chelsea should really go for a win. who is willing to bet on it?

...because of the comments of our manager.

Nope.

You can make out like it was 'clever' and 'subtle' all you want. But to me it just sounded like a hypocritical whinge that wasn't needed given it's a tactic he himself adopts every now and then. And given you're the third top scorers in the league, the whole 'goalscoring issue' thing is moot.

However, I'm sure just because he's the special one, that automatically makes it not a whinge, but clever mind games instead.

Equally, you can make out it was a whinge all you want. It's as if Mourinho is new to people.

Being third top scorers has absolutely no impact on having poor finishing in a single game, not sure what your point is there.

I still think they will go there playing for a point, or if they get really lucky a smash and grab victory, despite City being potentially vulnerable with no Aguero or Yaya Toure who is suspended. I just don't see Mourinho having a go, as it's never been his style. He will see it as being 3 behind is better than being 6. There will still be 14 games to go and with City fighting on 4 fronts, they could quite easily be distracted and drop more points than you'd expect between now and the end of the season

<laugh> absolute bullshit, they were horrendous. Didn't even attempt to attack.

I have no complaints myself as they did what they had to do, but don't try and make out Jose is the only one who would've complained ffs.

Sucker<laugh>

You forget yourself my man, how does that worm taste? :D

Him taking the attention off our inability to score against West Ham was the more likely reason for his comments, he's done so many times in the past. Not arsed what other fans think of him, nor will he I'm guessing.

This is pretty much it, and so obvious too. But less use as bait for chavs<whistle>

he was not covering for the inability to score, he is covering the fact he got Eto'o and let Lukaku go. Now Everton have gone and broke him.

Jose Mourinho: Chelsea boss says West Ham's style is '19th Century'

LOL JOSE complaining about WH parking the bus ... yeahh like chelsea never did that to win the CL <whistle> or worst they didn't do it when they played us .. at least WH had no other options as they have less superiors players... what was Chelsea excuse to park the bus against us? <whistle>

If you think our transfer policy is crap, look at this from Arsenal - (source BBC)

"New Arsenal signing Kim Kallstom is set for a spell on the sidelines with a back injury that was discovered in the medical before he signed on loan from Spartak Moscow.

"The 31-year-old Sweden midfielder sustained the problem on Tuesday while playing football on a beach during Spartak's pre-season tour in Abu Dhabi.

"He informed Arsenal of discomfort upon arriving at the club on Friday but, despite an MRI scan showing no damage, a CT scan found an issue with his back.

"The Arsenal medical team provided manager Arsene Wenger with the prognosis, but it was decided Kallstrom would still join and undergo his rehabilitation with the Gunners.

"He is expected to miss at least Arsenal's next six games, in which they face Crystal Palace, Liverpool twice, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Sunderland.

"Kallstrom did not train with his new team-mates on Friday or Saturday and will briefly return to Sweden and Russia before moving to London and beginning a course of treatment.

"The former Lyon player, Arsenal's only signing in the January transfer window, joined on loan until the end of the season to provide cover for injured midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere, plus the suspended Mathieu Flamini."

Sorry lad but its a case of distracting everyone including chavs from the fact that he f**ked up big time with the striker situation.

Agree. Done a brilliant job thus far but not addressed striker problem.

But where is the next Suarez, Rooney, Aguero etc... who should he have signed this summer?

Also unlucky with Van Ginkel but still should have got another CM in the summer

You will still end the season with **** all, just as you do every season. With your coveted top 4 finish in tact:biggrin:

I always find it funny when the supporters of a team who are going to win nothing laugh at us when we are going to win nothing. I suppose some people have to take consolation where ever they can find it

We may not win anything this season, without a minor miracle, but we were champions only 9 months ago and we will win a trophy again. We certainly won't go 8 years!
