Our big problem heading towards the run-in is going to be our goal difference. Even if we manage to catch our rivals on points I can't see us banging in enough goals to actually overtake them.

It's astonishing how many penalties Liverpool have got this season. Unreal. Most have been soft as well. If we had that many there'd be an outcry lol

We're not catching City. The Dippers losing today would have been a better result.

Add 4 points to our total for home "wins" against Burnley and Bournemouth. Frustrating.

I doubt we'll catch City but 4 points from 4th is achieveable. I wish we'd beaten Burnley, would've given us a real chance.

We're not actually that far behind. What is it, six?

If we win those two games it's a plus on goal difference anyway.

All it needs is a couple of decent wins and we're thereabouts on both points and goal diff.

Snap! Pretty much just posted the same.

Four points off Liverpool with two games in hand.

Fixtures to come:

Utd Liverpool
1st April West Brom (H) Everton (H)
4th/5th April Everton (H) Bournemouth (H)
8th/9th April Sunderland (A) Stoke (A)
16th April Chelsea (H) West Brom (A)
23rd April Burnley (A) Palace (H)
30th Apr/1st May Swansea (H) Watford (A)
6th May Arsenal (A) Soton (H)
13th May Spurs (A) West Ham (A)
21st May Palace (H) Boro (H)

To be scheduled City (A), Soton (A)

Got to be honest and say Liverpool have a much easier run in, and our two games in hand are both away so it won't be easy. But Liverpool will continue to drop points against the teams they are expected to beat, Everton at home and pretty much all of their away games look like banana skins for them. So we can hope, provided we can get something from the Chelsea and Arsenal games, maybe the City match too.

Sometimes being lucky is better than being good. And being lucky seems to be helping Liverpool atm. Penalties always help but little things like Schneiderlin picking up an injury just before they're due to play Everton makes all the difference.

I meant we're six goals behind on goal difference.

Win those two games and it's at least two fewer. Not a great deal, although we could do with winning the odd game by more than one or two.
