Middlesbrough have just sacked their manager - let's hope they don't do a 'Leicester' and find form this weekend
Over their shoulder? They're in 5th as it is, in the process of throwing away their game in hand. More like minding the gap... The only bad thing about this result is it pretty much guarantees we won't beat Boro tomorrow, cos god forbid we start the week in a position other than 6th.
Pep Guardiola admits Manchester City a bigger test than Bayern Munich or Barcelona - No 5hit Sherlock - Barca and Bayern were title-winning superteams when you waltzed in the door. Now you have some actual work to do, you're finding it tough - welcome to the world of real football management. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...a-bigger-test-than-bayern-munich-or-barcelona
Given our current form I'd still rather Liverpool lose - gives us more margin to drop points against lesser opponents and still pip them to 4th. And, as I said above, just want Liverpool to lose
The trouble is we still have the likes of City, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool to play. Nothing in the season suggests we're going to get much out of those games so both Arsenal and Liverpool will still need to lose a few more games to compensate for that.
We've played Liverpool twice. And have you watched Arsenal recently? I think the Spurs game would be a tough one but I think we can not lose to City, no problem. Not exactly aiming high that but it could be all we need. Anyway, we could do with that lot equalising sharpish.
