Good old Roy, he knows how to twist the knife -

Keane: "Keeping performing like that and it will be another thirty years before you win the title"; Liverpool suffered third successive home defeat on Sunday as Man City won 4-1; City now 10 points ahead of Liverpool with a game in hand <laugh>

Even with the calamity of yesterday we gained a point on them which is something.

Looking like 2nd if we play well enough. Technically we could say, if you finish above United you're winning the league <whistle>

Ole will make sure that optimism you’ve found dissipates over the next week or so mate. Just be happy with top 4 innit.
Given the position we were in at Christmas, this was the best season for us to win the league. Sadly, we threw it away with too many silly draws in lifeless performances. In my opinion, we handed the initiative to City who are clearly not invincible.

I am bitter seeing Chelsea and City in the finals. It particularly angers me because we could smash either of them. Just goes to show how much we have underachieved this season.

Also, Abramovich’s decisiveness should be a lesson. Managers shouldn’t be learning their tricks when they need to deliver. Yes, give them a chance, but don’t let them overstay.

On the plus side, if Lampard hadn't been sacked Liverpool would likely be finishing top 4 and City would still be in the FA Cup and heading for a quadruple.

Agree though, it shows we could and should have done better. In all 4 competitions to be honest.

Was watching last nights semi final and wondering how the actual **** we'd managed to get knocked out in the group stages.

Neither team was outstanding and, to be absolutely honest, Real were ****e.

The previous night, ditto PSG.

City are a very good team but for us to not also be reaching that stage of the competition was absolutely criminal by us.

Solskjaer absolutely has to win the EL, there can be no excuse. He needs a trophy and United as a club should be demanding one.
