Emery changed it 2nd half and he didn't react to it, and they killed you. By the time he adjusted your system it was to chase the game as you'd shipped 3 goals. He must shoulder some of the responsibility for it.
I've always seen Klopp as a very emotional coach. It's actually quite off putting. This is what possibly creates that soft core across all his teams. They get all giddy, but they are also very easily broken. If we take out cup competitions, he has performed worse than Rodgers in the league. I believe with the demise of United and Chelsea, Liverpool would have been knocking on the door for 4th spot.
The jumping around while gurning is just a show. It achieves **** all really. A bit like sitting on your arse looking at an ipad only far more energetic.
I think it works in small doses, if you actually move when you need to make a point or inject some energy into the team. But doing it all game is probably no more productive than LVG sitting on his arse chewing a wasp - it doesn't impart any meaningful information to the team around when more effort is actually needed.
Playing Southampton at St. Mary's with two goals up, Liverpool conceded a penalty very early in second half and Mane missed it. Klopp was fist pumping and celebrating as though they had just won the league. His celebration was overblown and they ended up losing that game.
I think managers/coaches definitely should give instructions from the sideline during games. That's their job, to manage and/or coach. Jumping about making facial expressions as if you've had about three E's isn't quite the same thing. That's what Klopp looks like. A tit essentially.
@le astrotednaut I hope you enjoyed the cup final yesterday. Personally I've enjoyed all three so far this season!
#kloppyflop No CL not even Europa next year Collapse in many matches Many of the main players disappear in key matches Playing reserves when just a couple of points would secure European football Frozen and calling for more singing in a final when changes in the pitch was needed And yet their fans are full of misplaced optimism. So deluded and so primed for disappointment.
Which one? I hope you've pointed out the obvious and their massive trophy haul for the last 20 years.
One of the robots. Apart from the few who are capable of independent thought they are all the same to me. Bitter numpties who regret jumping on the Dalglish bandwagon.
You've got to feel for them. What an awful week they must have had. Their misery timeline: 1. Wednesday: They totally ****ed up when they had the final at their mercy. Sevilla was buckling and just waiting to be put out of their misery in the first half. What did the RS do? Gift them a goal within 17 seconds (!) of second half and give them a massive lift. 2. Result: no trophy and worse no anticipated and fully expected CL football. Not even Europa as Kloppyflop had not even thought of the possibility of defeat. 3. Saturday: United go 1-0 down and joy on their board as there is only a few minutes left. **** as United equalise within 3 minutes. 4. New hope as United go one player down in ET. They feel totally secure. 5. Lingard scores the best goal ever seen in an FA cup final. Total misery on their board. Still, some green monster afflicted posts: "Silver lining and all that ...LVG stays for another year..." 6. Within minutes of watching united lift the great trophy, even that consolation is removed from them : "United will announce next week Mourinho as their next manager." Cue bitterness about "'van Gaal great manager and statesman within the game being mistreated:" I feel sooooo sorry for them.
And has been treated terribly. Despite the fact they've been mocking him for two seasons. Daft Dippers!
