While I agree the club should always have high expectations, in the short term I'm not too fussed about winning stuff. All I care about is being able to sit through 90 minutes and actually enjoy watching my team play. Watch players really playing well together and be impressed with some inspired football.
I love how you always try to sneak in the stealth wumming at the end Swarbs I agree with your post tbh. The football you've played this season has been some of the worst ever in PL history for one of the top teams. The trouble is when Jose brings the busses will people still be wanting more? Probably.
I feel much better that Spuds have dropped points today. I was facing a real battle of conscience in our upcoming game against Leicester. A real dilemma, as I wanted us to win but at the same time not dent Leicester's chances of winning the league. A real Anakin Skywalker moment if you will. But now I can rest assured, the mighty Louis Van Gaal can go on and trounce Leicester with ease and it's a win win situation for everyone
Bizarrely said more or less same thing in a text to a mate. We beat Leicester and they can still win the league, happy days . I would have not enjoyed us helping Spurs win the league. That all said we probably won't win anyway.
Yeh it's all probably academic anyway with Van Gaal trying to scrape a 1-0 and probably losing 3-0, but before a ball's been kicked it's a game to look forward to again I suppose.
If we are totally going to **** top 4 chances up I would rather do it against Leicester and let them win the league in style with games to spare, if we are really going for top 4 then let Leicester win it elsewhere
And that's exactly why I've said Leicester are more deserving champions than Spurs. When a win is vital, Spurs cock it up. Yes, they play nice pretty football and yes they probably have a stronger all round team. But when the chips are down they do an Arsenal. Seems they did learn something from their more successful rivals, but it wasn't the thing they'd hoped for Tbh I'd still have fancied Leicester even if Spurs won last night and we beat Leicester on Sunday. For all their improvement, I still can't see Spurs getting more than a draw at Chelsea and may even manage to lose. So Leicester may be celebrating this week even if they can't get past Louis' White Van at OT.

Fortunately, we have been firmly snubbed by Neymar who has announced that he is happy at Barcelona and has no intention of leaving the Camp Nou this summer. Great news for all of us here at Snubchester.
Today at 6pm Liverpool will overtake the 26 years (9493 days in total for Utd, now 9494 for Liverpool) that United went without winning the league! At that time, Liverpool had 18 league titles to Uniteds 7. "Have you ever seen United win the league" they sung. So not only have Liverpool waited longer to win the league, they've now seen United top the perch with 20 league titles! and Leicester win a PL title before them.
Opportunity knocks this weekend - can't see City taking a full strength team down to the south coast with full focus given the need to get a result in Madrid next week. Also another Wenger speciality beckons against relegation threatened Norwich. All we need to do is stop Leicester. Easy peasy
