Don't see it happening myself. That 40 million was for kit and stadium naming rights. Arsenal's kit sponsorship is about 30 million a year and I think their stadium naming rights is worth 6 million a year. So Citys deal is only marginally better than what Arsenal have and City are a more successful club at the moment. To put it into perspective our Kit deal next year is around 51 million and the glazers bought out the 10 million a year training kit deal because they thought they could get more.
City biggest problem with that deal according to a UEFA legal expert is that the deal is with a company that is related to the owner and that is not allowed by FFP. as the City owner is the brother of Ethad owner/chairman.. but his guess was it will be scaled down to what other big clubs at same level are getting tbh if their deal is as close to Arsenal one.. it seem fair enough and they will not qualify for FFP anyway
Watching the villa -spurs game. I think I have not seen a worse prem side- Villa - so far. Utterly useless in attack and in defence. It is like having United's defence without their attack. Unbelievable ! How did they manage to humiliate the scousers in their own backyard?
We have 4 teams potentially on equal number of points at 4th place: spurs, Everton, WBA and Arsenal (assuming they win their postponed home game). Fascinating fight in prospect. Just hope we get our key players esp Rooney back for the WBA match...
On better news Liverpool went 1-0 to go down 2-1 near enough straight away. Long way to go yet though!
Well done stoke! The scousers humiliated. Well deserved defeat of the miserable deluded scousers! One of best boxing days ever!!
I know They are now rivals only of the likes of Norwich, Swansea, Sunderland. But old habits die hard...>
Rafa seem close to make his deal permanent hhh Abra real respect his fans .. he just do what he want regardless of their opinion .. class http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...to-be-Chelsea-manager-on-permanent-basis.html
To be honest everyone expected Stoke to beat Liverpool at home, times are slowly changing and even many Liverpool fans would gladly have accepted a point before the match... Speaking about Liverpool, who do you hope they sign in January, who will go on to probably be another flop signing? Arshavin? Sturridge? Walcott? Personally I think Sturridge is likely to implode if he goes there, he'll likely be stuck out on the wing to allow Suarez to play striker and he's been vocal about wanting to play up front... Walcott is in a similar position, but I rate him a lot higher than Sturridge, and his attitude seems a lot better as well.
Everyone except the scousers. They had a poll on their match thread and majority went for Lfc win. Most that went for a Stoke win were not Pool fans, some pool fans went for a draw though.
